Alright guys as I had promised a few people now... with goneMOAB registration opening up today I am releasing my 2012 goneMOAB pictures 
A few at a time! We will start with the pre-event runs (these pre-runs are for trail leaders to learn and not part of the event). As for the editing I have been trying a few different things so hope you guys enjoy because I have not touched these pics since early summer
As was such Myself, Justin and Amber decided to go run Poison Spyder Mesa... This would be my first Moab trip with the New X! At the trail head... Note the Ford Raptor in the background, I teased my dad by sending him a pic of it, my mom's reply was "DONT DO THAT! YOUR GIVING HIM IDEA'S!" Yes he now owns one

I was starting to feel a little underrated. For thos wondering how much of a difference travel is... it's a world of difference for IFS
GoPro mounted and ready to go... I should mention Justin also has a 2" BL w/ his TS

We stopped for a few minutes to watch a rental jeep with a bunch of newbies bash the front bumper coming off a nice climb
As we sat and watched you look back towards Moab
Surprising Mr. Terry and Ron caught up to us on their own pre-run
Justin took the first attempt at the obstacle after the jeep's left
Ron followed
As I am half way through the selected pics of this run (it was a short run) I will stop here and resume at a later time I will also give you guys a few updates for those I am not FB friends with, this Christmas I stepped up to a full frame camera. A nice new Nikon D600 so I am stoked for this coming year's goneMOAB! If you never been, consider it! And go register at www.goneMOAB.com! However to give you guys a heads up I am going to start trying to dive into video along with pictures for this coming year's trip.

As we moved on Terry decided to try his hand at a nice climb, which we watch him use his locker on if I remember right...
Then it was Ron's turn, spinning the tires
As he got up and stopped I noticed something...
Amber waiting for me to catch up
Finally arrived at the waterfall where Terry went ahead headed his way up
Justin waiting at the bottom for his turn
Amber working her way up
Then on the final climb, the fun part
Next around the corner we start the next climb in a nice little small canyon
After which we come to the fun part full of some nice big ruts which Ron took a nice few minutes working on getting through and re-positioning himself
But at last he did make it

Finally at the V notch which we watched Terry attempt first, no he did not go 3 wheels like all the famous pictures. Ron was a little too good at spotting him

While we were waiting we watched a little razer do it's thing
As it was getting late we decided to turn around and head back letting Terry and Ron do there thing. We didn't want to headback down in the dark
This picture is priceless and probably the best of the week

Thanks guys, sorry its been slow to add more been running around like mad this last week.
Lets resume, next up on Seven Mile I opted to do the crack which is a like a small version of the crack on golden spike, I dont have pictures but Amber does. However here is my damage for the week

Threw the small squeeze (it's not very narrow but people still get freaked out)
Slightly off center is wipe out hill
Nick was the only one man enough to attempt it, and I am on the left guiding him down
Half way threw the first drop
At the bottom! And I can take a nice relaxing break on the rocks
Ready to come back up!
He was literally 3 inches from being either perfect or in a complete disaster, just grabbed him and we took a few more attempts.
Attempt number 2
After a second we realized his X was overheating so we let it cool off and talked it over, we just didnt want to risk his truck before gone had even started...
We decided to use a rope and just pull it ourselves (no truck) incase he started leaning back again, and he made it up no problem! No pic of that sorry
After a nice little disaster where the trail gave away beneath me on what I thought was the bypass we continued on and her is nick taking the route I would take the rest of the trucks down later that week.
Well next up Top of the World and the official day first day of goneMOAB!

Okay let's do this! Starting with Day#1 - Top of the World Trail (My favorite trail)
Getting ready to start our day, as we sit next to dewey bridge. (Sorry forgot pictures of the bridges because I have photographed it before)
As I was inspecting the rigs spotted this nice shiner... Sucks it happened when someone I will let remain nameless backed in to him with his door open
Good looking first gen, they are starting to become a little bit rare around these trails

We took a brief moment, and yes this is not even half the trucks in the picture
So found a little fun spot where people take the right line they could go 3 wheeling however nothing big, some just missed the rock just barely

Sadly many of my best shots where the front tire came up were too over exposed that I couldn't save them so you guys will just have to be satisfied with these shots... sorry
Now we meet the only truly difficult spot but take the right line and hug the wall and you will be fine. Here Don shows us his Jeep's long wheel base as he made it up with no spotter

Alright school and work full time, plus a month sick is getting the best of me! Not to mention I am literally watching tutorials while working in photoshop, lightroom and premiere all at the same time :S I need a break haha but we have 69 days until goneMOAB 2013! So let me get back in to it again...

Nick finally got the chance to mess with his locker though he hardly needed it...
Finally we arrived at the top and crowded the whole place!
The overlook, my favorite lunch spot

As the last few took their turns getting on the cliffs edge I worked my way back to the pack!
As Amber was walking by the side of my X I quickly spotted a "kuma lizard" (as someone else put it), little dude let me get a foot away while taking a pic, you should see the full resolution of this shot you can see all the texture and detail on his skin.
Slowly we made our way back down throw the boulder field (they are small boulders)
Took a quick stop wait for everyone to catch up...
I'll stop there and post the rest on Wednesday night. Also since I am posting these on 3 different forums due to a few request from friends I am probably going to do the next set different pictures on each of the 3 forums Anyone object?

So as we made our way down the trail not saying it's bad but the day begins to feel long and most people just want to get moving, hence the next shots will be just a few snapshots of a few trucks making there way out of the rocky part of the trail.

Sadly Alex the(edit: red x sticker) is gone, think it got clipped by an ice scrapper this winter and began to peel up! To new beginnings!

No way? Seriously??? After all those new mods? Well if it makes you feel any better my repairs are starting to stack My dad asked me tonight if I would rather sell and start with a brand new one instead.

Oh oh, lol now I feel like a fool... well steering is squeaking, suspense UCA's are squeaking (I mean bad too just any small bump), exhaust and cats, basically everything ahead of the muffler (bet they also say the headers are bad), clutch needs replace, seal around the transmission output needs replacing, brake rotors and pads, pretty sure need new bearing on both fronts. And a few other small various things. My dad thinks the underside is so rusted from the salt that it's just not worth dealing with replacing all of that... So we will see but I am planning on taking it for at least the exhaust part tomorrow.
That's a bummer man, try greasing the Ucas, mine were obnoxious and I greased them up really good, now quite as a church mouse. Clutch is one of those things that's par for the course, but everything else is a bummer. Maybe you can swap the armor and other goodies with keeping if you get a new new one

Oh I can't even tell you how bad the squeak was even after shooting tons of grease into the zerks, injecting it with a needle between joints and using my finger to smear it everywhere.... I also noticed squeaking sound coming from the steering and checked the fluid, it was good. I was thinking it would be awesome if I could have kept the armor but it was rusting badly, the powdercoating which I did 1 year ago was not holding up it was like spray paint not powdercoat. Plus I am considering keeping weight to a minimum except sliders and skidplates.
I am also thinking about getting a company here in Utah who makes custom 1/4" thick fiberglass bumpers for jeeps to make one of my own design (may have to gather at least 10 people agreeing to buy one to get them to do it). It would have a tube under-skeleton with a winch plate solid mounted to the frame. May also make one myself. But after the AC went out yesterday and talking to multiple companies about they would charge and what they would offer me I was frustrated and now I don't regret it at all but I am a bit sad.

Alright guys I am bring back the Adventure thread! I didn't get too far with it last time so I will try to go back and get pictures from past events and adventures later... But lets start with my most recent one. Now unlike my build thread the pictures will not be different depending upon which forum you are on (different people on different forums).
So Saturday 02/22/2014 was our Annual UXOC Pony Express Trail Run! It was a great time, met quite a few new people and made some new friends... Now I cannot remember everyone's name and I don't want to mess up names (which I have a pretty bad history of doing) so I wont try.
We met up at the Chevron in Lehi, UT the planned route would take us through Cedar Fort, Faust, South Pass to the West Desert, Simpson Springs, Fish Springs, Utah Mine area, Callao, Golden Hill and then into Wendover NV/UT. Because of the long distance we would be traveling most of us took spare gas just in case!
After passing through Faust we pulled off onto the dirt road of the start of the Pony Express (start for the dirt road) and aired down... You will notice Justin's X which is gigantic compared to my stock rig
While we air down we took a good chance to get to know each other and catch up with old friends
It was shaping up to be a great day!
This is Eric I met him at a grocery store on my lunch break and invited him along, I have seen him around town a few times so I was glad he came!
Taylor (the white X on the left) is actually neighbors with my ex-girlfriend, it was interesting to finally meet him as I had seen his X a few times when I was dating my Ex.
It was fantastic making new friends, and although this is a trail run it's very flat and not much technical stuff so a lot of the day was just stopping to talk.

After airing down and me having to re-inflate one of my tires because I let it go too far we headed into Simpson Springs with bright blue skies ahead!
Here we would take lunch so I took a moment to stop and snap pics as everyone came in...

We maybe hung out here for an hour or longer but it was just too nice of a day not too...
The Pony Express Simpson Springs station is actually a replicate but just behind me is part of the old building, it's not much to show unfortunately

We headed back on the road but we waiting for everyone to get inline
Rob is also one X I have been seeing around town lately but have not had a chance to meet until this trip

This is Eric I met him at a grocery store on my lunch break and invited him along, I have seen him around town a few times so I was glad he came!
Taylor (the white X on the left) is actually neighbors with my ex-girlfriend, it was interesting to finally meet him as I had seen his X a few times when I was dating my Ex.
It was fantastic making new friends, and although this is a trail run it's very flat and not much technical stuff so a lot of the day was just stopping to talk.

After airing down and me having to re-inflate one of my tires because I let it go too far we headed into Simpson Springs with bright blue skies ahead!
Here we would take lunch so I took a moment to stop and snap pics as everyone came in...

We maybe hung out here for an hour or longer but it was just too nice of a day not too...
The Pony Express Simpson Springs station is actually a replicate but just behind me is part of the old building, it's not much to show unfortunately

We headed back on the road but we waiting for everyone to get inline
Rob is also one X I have been seeing around town lately but have not had a chance to meet until this trip

Your pictures are just great. I have been trying to get out to Hill AFB for the longest time... Now, NM isn't bad but, one day...
I guess I'll get to see the area come the end of May. I am guessing that trip will make me want to move out there even more... Keep up the pics!

Alright next installment... As we continued on we hit the pass on the way to Fish Springs where I stopped for a brief second and snapped a couple pics of everyone actually driving (except me)...
It was an amazing day, although most complained about the dust... I had no issue with it... but then again I have been back there before
I love the desert and spend a lot of time in it during my youth (I'm still really young looking), but I started exploring the desert on my own at 16 when I got my first motorcycle 1979 Yamaha XT125 thing was older then me!
Because most of the guys were closer then I hoped they didn't get a flying picture...
A story I always have to tell is that one Jan day my Father, 2x brothers and I set out on this road early morning with our motorcycles excited to try out our new Desert tanks, it was a mere 16 degree fahrenheit at 9 am we ended the day at 1 am with neg 12 degrees in a blinding snow storm! My brothers bike gave us a scare, dying in the middle of no where which we couldn't get started and thought we were going to have to stay the night in simpson springs building as that is the ONLY shelter for miles! We didn't have anything with us just what was left or not left of our water and a few pieces of beef jerky. It was an adventurous night!
As I told the group a few of my stories, most people couldn't hear me on the CB but I also once had the experience in Feb with my first blue Xterra a year or two later of running into a Suburban with 3 flat tires and a blow out! The couple with their kids and a few of the neighbor kids went out to Fish Springs for a picnic and suffered one puncture at Fish Springs where the Ranger patched the tire, later got another blow out and discovered another tire was leaking air quickly, they continued anyways we met them at Simpson Springs where the one tire had gone flat and now there spare was punctured too. We fixed the tires we could filled the last tire with air and sent them on their way telling them when it got flat to stop and we would refill it, another Chev pulled up offered his spare which rim was too small but we bolted it on backwards so the the donut stuck out the side of the suburban and told them alright head on out! They made it back to the road before having a another puncture but they were in Cell range at the time but they had NO coats or any extra food water or anything. That's dangerous! Desert is a good place to have bad mistakes, speaking of which the stock tires that came with my Pro4x are the same tires on that Suburban that day, I don't trust those tires a bit!

Before we had left that day the Toyota group met just next to us at the Walmart next to the Chevron we met, they were doing the same run but I don't think they ever stopped... We stopped at the top of the pass for a group pic

I love your thread(s). It's like a magazine, all pictures less text. Definitely let the pictures do the explaining. And you can't beat the HD format.
Your newly found friend Eric has a great build similar to mine. Reminds me of Civicjoe's Night Hog as well!
