So i've been in the market for hubs. what do you guys recommend. i saw some people troll on certain hubs. Also i know you can use old HB hubs just not sure what years. But what is the best bang for the buck?

I am running Mile Markers and have been for a couple of years, Warn are also good. The older HB ones are getting pretty hard to find, but you can always get auto replacements at most junk yards because the HB, Pathfinders, Frontiers, and X all used the same ones.

The key is maintain them after you get them, Keep them lubed up and use them once in a while. For the most part the people that I know that complain about one being signifficiantly better than the others, only do it out of something that they saw a buddy go through, or heard about from some unknown source.

Usually the buddy never maintains his junk, so it does not work rite when he wants to use it. The manuals that I have seen fail on the trail woould have failed no matter what brand they were. When you drop the weight of a truck on a hub it will break. When people break them under more normal conditions it is because they were not fully engaged, so I would put that back on the ownerfor not properly maintaining them.

ya lol. i had read your's and saw some trolling on them. so i'd figured before i spent some money. i would ask the people on here about what they favor. mile markers are what i was looking into to or some HB ones.

Im not a fan of the mile markers, they are longer then stock there for more susceptible to damage, I also had problems with them staying tight, I had to change out all the hardware to get them to stay on... even after that they lasted 4 wheeling trips then this

I now have some from an old hardbody, but if I ever need to replace them and cannot find more Ill go with Warn

I have the HB hubs from a ’96 on my egg crate and like them the best.
I’ve never used or wheeled with anyone using MM hubs so cannot speak about them however I have wheeled with a few guys (that are very diligent with maintenance) sporting the WARN hubs and would stick with OEM Autos before putting them on my truck. IMHO they suck...

I have some from a 94 hardbody, They are my trail spares until I grenade my autos.. But I keep them greased, just in case I need to use them at any point in time. I also have a quest alternator as a trail spare..

I had a set of Warn lockers on one of my HB's and they didn't feel as "locky" as the factory manual hubs. I'd love to come across a set of HB hubs to put on my X.

Yeah I would definitely love to find some HB hubs but until then I'll try the MM hubs and I'll make sure I put them through there paces and see how they hold up

I had milemarkers before my sas...... I went through 6 sets and was banned from warantee-ing anything from the local Oreilys. There not worth the headache.

warn is good, they dont stick out much. also try looking for them at ur local junk yard's. dont buy new ones, not worth the money they will break eventually anyway.
