Hey..
First of all I guess I should introduce myself! My name is Missy and i am from the good ole Buckeye State....OHIO! So I dont leave you wondering who you are dealing with here, This is me!

I am an Xterra addict and this is my story!! LOL
I am such a faithful 4x4parts.com visitor that I added them to my FB page so I could keep tabs on them and be the first to hear about all of there great deals and new upcomings. This however lead me to a contest that I didnt enter. After a few comments to Dave (the winner of the contest) and a few crash courses on XN later.....Here I am!
I guess I should have started my story out from the beginning but I was so excited that I finally knew what i was doing on here I just threw something together. I realize now it wasn't going anywhere over night and I had plenty of time.
I guess I should go back several years when the Xterra first came out. (I dont remember what year that was) I was so in love with the Xterra but being young and in the beginning of life with 2 little ones I had to put my love for the X on hold for a few years. Ok...several years! Ill admit. I did try one out one day. It was a beauty! 2000 Avalanche white, brush guard, bug shield, tail light guards...It had the whole package! A girl could dream....right! I was stuck in a little Dodge Neon for 7 years. We eventually grew out of it (THANK gobble) and I went to a Dodge Intrepid. While it was an awsome car my heart was still set on that darn Xterra. I knew if I was patient enough I would some day get my wish.
February 2004 it finally came!! My Intrepid had been acting up and one day I got in my car at work and when i started it the check engine light was off and the car was quiet..I thought, if Im going to get rid of it, right now is my chance! I needed no time at all to think of what I wanted. I drove straight to the Nissan dealership!!
Get your tissues ready! LOL
There on the lot was a 2002 X with only 30,000 miles, Avalanche White with the entire package!! I seriously couldn't believe it! I found a salesman and the fun began! Ok..I lied..It really wasn't fun! It was the most stressful 3 days of my entire life! Lucky for me (not for him) I got a salesman with a huge heart! After hours of paperwork, LOTS OF TEARS and when I say LOTS I mean...This guy will NEVER forget me lots of tears and lots of phone calls to my hubby, 3 days of driving it and refusing to give the keys back...... That Xterra was FINALLY MINE!! I was the happiest girl on earth!!
Ofcourse once I got the X home I immediately had some changes to make so I added a few stickers and a set of rough treads! There is where I stood for several years. I figured I got it and I had all the time in the world to play with it. Unfortunately....Hubby and I were never on the same page with what I wanted! I decided I would lay off and just be happy with what I had.
We have a hobby that we all loved to do so the Xterra soon became our pack mule. It was great for hauling all of our things and getting us where we wanted to go.
This is still the main job for our little "pack mule!"
After a few more years of being stuck with the same ole same ole I decided it was time for new rims! This to me made a world of difference. This is when the X started to take shape and turn heads in the neighborhood!
(Ill post the pic as soon as I find it!)
In 2008 I moved the X to the mountains of WV and it met its first "real" snow!
I would love to say I couldnt wait to get out and play in it but my real thoughts were..Great!! How long am I going to be stuck here!!
2009.....Back to Ohio and the X met its first snow boo boo! The first time i have ever been in a pickle and couldnt get out!
The poor X was pulled and tugged on with 2 different trucks and finally made it out.
Just last spring, after YEARS of buggin the hubby for a lift.....I FINALLY GOT IT!! I was approved (by hubby) for a 2" body lift so I ordered a 3" lift! I called my brother in law, held the phone out while I "begged" him to install it for me (because he knew hubby only wanted 2") He finally agreed and once again...Im a happy girl!
]
Three LONG days later.......Im ridin high! After hubby returned home, he agreed that 3" was probably a good idea.
]
I have to say....I TOTALLY AGREE!!!
After taking this picture and realizing how ugly the underneath was I bought several cans of rubberized black paint and painted everything i could reach!
This is a pic of how the girl looks today!
This is not the end of the line for the X. With the help of a few friends and a few suggestions here and there the X will be transformed into a masterpiece in no time! I will definately post pics of the progress as we move along. It could be a long process but patience I have learned is the only thing that gets you what you want!
