I seriously want to root my HTC Inspire. It has been so laggy as of lately. My keyboard doesn't respond when hitting letters even after recalibrating it. I can't complain seeing I had only paid $0.01 for the phone. Anyone know how to sync everything on it? I'm thinking about saying fudge it and having a friend root it for me.

Contacts can be done by selecting options>Import/Export inside your contacts app. Apps can't be done unless you kept the original .apk files. Everything else is stored on your MicroSD card. You don't need to backup everything if all you are doing is rooting it, rooting just runs a linux command giving you Super User permissions. Warranty will probably be void and unless you can get your hands on a stock odin image of your phone (for your carrier) then it is probably irreversible.
