Is the expensive ammo due to SARS CoV2 restrictions? I ask because there are all kinds of manufactured goods and household items here and there that are in short supply/back order due to the pandemic. Hopefully year-end, early 2022, that situation will be ameliorated.

Some items such as crosscountry ski equipment became scarce in part because of the huge increase in demand.

Did demand for bullets go up because target practice can be a relatively safe activity both in an indoor and outdoor ranges?

No idea. Could be that people got scared and started buying like it was going out of stile ( think toilet paper) and hoarding for a end of the world scenario.

Anyways. Got my rifle a day early. Now starts the fun part of adding iron sights and an optic. As well as cleaning before going to the range to break in the barrel

Hi demand due to panic buying in the wake of Covid, BLM/Antifa riots, and Sleepy Joe becoming president, among the usual crap.

Nope, anyone with their non-restricted licence can buy one of these.

Limited to 10rd mags?

There are some verry small exceptions.

pistols are allowed to have 10 round capacity. So therefore you can use the LAR 5.56 pistol mags in your rifles and have a 10 round capacity

that or a Pistol caliber carbine that uses Glock mags are limited to 10 rounds

My wife encourages it.

Exactly.

But beyond that, I’ve informed my wife I was buying ammo, but that’s just because she handles the bank account day to day. But damn, convincing her to let me buy it??? :p

Not that it would take much convincing. She goes through plenty of freedom pills without any encouragement.

My wife really doesn’t care. As long as the bills are paid and the family is provided form my money is my money. So new firearms and ammo, new knives, truck parts are good to gom

As long as the kid’s braces are being paid for, and the myriad of other stuff, my wife doesn’t care either. Though I know if she had her way, I’d spend gun money on flooring and shiat. But I have no interest in that stuff. I hate carpentry in general.

Need to buy more mags for this new toy. PMags are hard to find these days and all of the steel mags I find are all crimped at 5 rounds vs pinned with a rivet. Also. Thinking about starting to reload the 5.56 and 9mm I shoot

Found a guy selling some gen 2 Pmags on a Canadian forearm forum. Never used. He is asking $125 for 5 mags( $25/mag) plus shipping. I am in negotiations with his about those 5

Jeebus! Those are expensive PMAG’s. I have a hard time paying more than $12 for them. But we also have them on the shelves like candy down here in UT. So I’m spoiled I think.

That’s cheap for mags. Normally from a retail setting they are $35 or more if your able to find any right now

from my local preferred store the steel dura mags that are crimped at 5 rounds are $35 each

No need get caught up in the minutiae.

But I’m sure the Canadian authorities are worse than the ATF down here. Bastards all.

Took a chance and ordered a cheap Orpaz holster from Amazon for a Sig Sauer 1911-22
Received it today and so far I am impressed with this holster. Good level 2 retention and it actually fits the pistol. Can’t wait to take it out to the range and try it out
