I've been around awhile just not very talkative. But, anyway learned alot and the x is worthy of a build thread now so without further ado.

First day of ownership and first snow in south Alabama in about 12 yrs. Bone stock 2wd xe with leather seats.

First mods. Painted plastic, PML, concept custom lightbar, 4 hellas, 265 Hankook ATMs.

Next up was a custom winch mount. Welded on not bolted.

Another with 265s. I also bought an XD9000i Warn off craigslist.

Next I did the DIY 2 body lift and got a set of 285 Mickey Thompson mtz radials.

Alittle dirty.

Had some custom sliders made. 2x3 tube 3/16 thick.

Had them Line-x'd. Awesome product!

Bedlined the hood. Sold the winch. Was having alot of issues with it. Looking for another now.

Plast-dipped the wheels. Great stuff.

Dipped the emblems front and back.
Thats pretty up to date. I've bedlined all the plastic but the front bumper and grille. I'll be ordering a new winch next week hopefully. I'll try to snap a few more pics and keep everything up to date. Thanks.

I'd love to have 4wd but, I really haven't had any issues with 2wd and the winch. If I ever get to trail ride with some of ya'll that might change LOL.

Yeah, those were great tires. I was gonna put a set of those on in a 285 but, got a great deal on the mickey ts.

Yeah, I really haven't had any problems yet. Only needed the winch to pull out others.

Lovin some craigslist. Got this for 300 bucks! Retails for 700 before shipping.

Its only a year old and in perfect shape I'm stoked.

Yes it is. It the wilco hitch gate. Been wanting a rear bumper but this will work great for my needs. Has a spot to mount a hi- lift and jerry cans if I want.

I would think with a little work it could be made into a rear bumper

It does stick out kinda far but i can deal with it for the price.

Does anyone know if the hitch from a Frontier of the same year will bolt up to an x? What Im thinking is it doesnt stick out as far as the x hitches and will sit up alittle higher. Then I can just trim the bumper around the hitch.

One more. It is leaning alittle right now. There is a wedge lock that goes inside the hitch to lock it in place strait. This one didnt have it so, I ordered it. 25 bucks. Not bad be here wed.

does that tire bounce around much? maybe you could do the hitch flip trick to get it to have it sit up higher and not take up some of the rear approach angle? glad you're having fun with the X

It does bounce alittle now but, I don't have the part that locks it to the reciver hitch. Still waiting on UPS to deliver it. Once I get that on it will be rock solid. I would do the hitch flip but, I do tow a good bit and I'm not sure you can still tow with the hitch flip.

Got some mods planned. Hoping to get a new winch and possibly a snorkle in the next couple months. Got a b-day in a week or so and Christmas. So, I'll have some mod money hopefully. Stay tuned!

I'm looking at one of the Chinese or Japanese made ones on ebay. It looks just like the airtec but is fiberglass and says its made for the 3.0 Navarre. Its 125.00 plus 60 shipping I think. I'm thinking I'll try it and see. 200 is alot better than 400 plus for the others.
