OK, so I know these aren't hardcore King of the Hammers, rock crawling off roaders, but you wouldn't do this in a Winnebago.

There's even a baby one based on a Rubicon. This could actually persuade me to buy a Jeep.

I'd be worried it'd roll too easily, BUT, for a REALLY amazing thing related to these... check this out... "the start" and "the almost finished product"

if you have the time, just click **here** and skim the whole thing, it's 24 pages spanning over 3 years in progress, but, this guy made a 1/10 scale (est.) model of their F550 Earthroamer that's an actual drivable RC rock crawler. Everything is hand made with immense levels of detail, it was initially funded by Earthroamer, and is tentatively being purchased by them for an undecided amount at this time.

Wow. Not a fan of the X3/X5 (whichever one that is; I can never tell), but that bumper is a work of art. That satin paint is nice too. Good job by the tuner who built it.

I don't see that BMW going very far off road, not much room in those wheel Wells. Bumper is cool though, probably push a grocery cart ( buggy for some of you) real far.

I wouldn't throw it out of bed for eating crackers but the only video I could find of it are of its exhaust, which shoots fireballs by the way, but none of it actually moving. Its made by Fluid Motorunion, and called project x.

It appears to have essentially no wheel travel...the difference between the level and drooped/stuffed position is a few inches at best.

They used up all the down travel to get the ride height up to fit the tires, and then had to use giant bump stops to prevent over stuffage, etc.

So, its for show, not go.

Fluid Motor Union clearly post on their site that the BMW X5 is for going to Whole Foods in the snow and not much more, and they were thus limited when they built this modified version for the Chicago World of Wheels show. Still, the paint and bumper are fantastic.

Top Gear [UK] did a review of it going off road. Forgot what season though.

All of these are pretty awesome rigs, with the exception of the Beemer. Like the way it looks, but it looks pointless when compared to our trucks. Keep on posting guys!

Saw this at FedEx when I was shipping out a tire to a fellow X'er. '83 Land Rover Defender, right hand drive, snork, aussie land bureau logos on the side, full canvas top, diesel, and he said the low range was so low that you could put it in 1st, get out and walk next to it... It was a thing of beauty!

I have a friend on his vacation and he drove through Moab at 3:30 this morning. This is what he saw.

Heard they were testing that out there...

The Jeep Mighty FC Concept digs up the Forward Control truck idea from the company's days under Willy's. This monster started off as a two-door Wrangler in December, now it's been chopped up, lengthened, lifted, and totally re-imagined. The cabin's nose was lopped off, the back of the Wrangler pickup kit encloses the rear, and all-new doors were fabricated along with a long bed which conceals the spare tire, fuel tank, and suspension pieces, there's a little bit of storage along the top side of it. The drivetrain is stock Wrangler - 3.6- liter Pentastar V6 with about 285 hp, but now it's under the seats as is the front axle. That axle's also been modified with portal axle ends, a kit from Mopar which bolts to the end of a stock solid axle and offset's the wheels from the center of the axle. The result - more ground clearance with a less extreme suspension. Giant 39" tires and a huge heavy duty bumper with a winch finish out the look. This thing isn't just a pretty face either, the Jeep crew plans to wheel it in the off-road playgrounds of Utah in April so they've fitted it with a roll cage just in case coming down hills doesn't go well for the nose-heavy behemouth.
