Got it in October of 2012 from my brother. He got a new car, traded in my truck and I got my favorite car in the driveway. It had a few mods done to it already, which saved me money! But here's the Build up from the day I received it!

My first day

2 days after getting it, i was pulling outta school, and felt a sudden loss of power. Pulled over, and the engine sounded like it was puttering. Thought it was my exhaust or something. Popped the hood open to find this! Picture was taken after it was fixed.

Very first mod was add my subwoofers i had in my truck. 2 10" Alpine e10's. Powered by a 1500 watt JBL audio amp. these things hit soooo hard in my old truck which was a single cab dodge ram 1500. they seem like they hit even harder in the X.

Ductaped it up and drove it home! And i drove it for the rest of the week like this until my new part came in.

Didnt even think to get a Cold air intake as i was jsut so mad at the fact it broke 2 days into owning the car!

Cleeo needed to get rid of the grey! it was making her look old! Decided to black out the front corners while i was at it. Plastidip! Here i come!

Color scheme of truck is gonna be red and black. So i picked up some red dome lights for the inside off ebay.

With clear headlights come HIDs...i think...
Already had a cheap Xentec kit off of ebay in it. and i took the 10000k bublbs outta my truck before giving it over tot he dealer. So i thew'em in the X.

Tires were getting very worn down, and my rear driver side tire had a GIANT bolt in it. Wasnt leaking air, just dangerous and illegal to drive on. a friend of a friend from my highschool found out i was looking for a set of all terrains and he let me know he had a set. They came off his 2007 xterra. Originally wanted $250 but i talked him down to $120. Awesome deal if you ask me considering these had 16,000 miles left and theyre 20,000 mile tires costing $210 dollars each brandnew!

And off course while i was NTB theres ALWAYS something else wrong with your car. Well my dad was out of the country when my mom heard the guy telling me my idler arm HAD to be replaced, and my brake pads and shoes were dangerously low, she wasnt going to let me drive until this was fixed. But hey, i wasnt paying so any free parts labor i can get is good i guess.

Looks good man, next time if you don't want to tape everything off, just pull the bumpers off. Seems like a lot of people are doing the black on black, and your truck proves why, it looks really good!

Finally had time to make a CB mount for my antenna. plastidipped it black to prevent rust. 5ft firestick.

decided to go wheeling with a friend from school. He not on the forum and i have no idea why, but heres his X. we took his first, then went back to my house to get mine as the trails are technically in my neighborhood. But after i realized i didnt feel like breaking anything, i just rode with him. just some pics from the trip in no particular order because photobucket mixed them up!

And this is me washing the X at 10:30 at night before my parents come home and realize that i went wheeling. (they told me not to drive anywhere. Thats why halfway through the trip i decided it was better to ride with my friend.)

Wait... Did you just paint the marker and turn signal bulbs black.. Most people black it out with a tint like nite-shade or something that still allows light to pass through.. You know for legal purposes.

Looks good.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Next mods will be a yakima or similar roof rack with 4 lights in top.

Yeah i just plastidipped right over top of them. I turned on my hazzard lights and both shine through perfectly fine, and i havent had any trouble with the cops.

Where is that trail at? The Hill looks like a beast to climb.

The trail was a bunch of trails made by the county to get to a water treatment facility. It was recently shut down by the cops though becasue the trail leads up to the back of a park, where some teenagers thought it would be a good idea to do donuts on the fields. Definitely did not give offroaders a good name around here. Now everyone that once used these trails are stuck driving 45-60 min away....:rawr:

The X is looking good. Always nice to see the 2wd Xterras getting more off road play time than a lot of the lifted 4x4 asphalt queens.

Just a few updates on the rig

Went to the boneyard to get a new door panel. Heres the donor vehicle. mostly torn apart. motor was sidewys in it.

I also picked up some fabirc so i could rewrap my door panels and center console.




And painted the grill red


Planning on painting my shackles red when they come in the mail today.

MORE UPDATES!!!
So lets start off by saying its been a while since last update....

But lets get on with the show shall we?
Found some wheels and tires on CL and the guy wanted $400. I asked if he would take $280 just to low ball, and he accepted! so i picked them up and stupid me, just looked at bolt pattern. Turns out chevy has a smaller center hole bore size. Whatya know. So heres the rims and tires. on 33" BFG all terrains K/O.


And heres a picture of how they were supposed to look. Killed me to take this picture...(Not me in the picture BTW)

So those have been sitting on CL for a while and my parents keep getting onto me on how i need to sell them. So i have a guy driving 2 hours and paying $320 for them. So I actually made money! YAY!
So here, is where im installing my Bilsteins in rear that i got from CaseyCamby.


Next up is my new stickers. Printed them bigger and in white. I have a vinyl sticker cutter at my school so we can use it as much as we want. (Sorry Creepy if youre reading this)


Today i bought a cargo basket from a buddy for $40 and heres a pic with it on. In person it makes my X looks so much taller which is what im looking for!



And last but not least, heres the Nook i put in my dash board. I can do a writeup if i get enough requests. I had a cheap tablet in there before but wasn't working out for me. So i bought a nook color for $30 from a kid at school and rooted and installed android on it. Bluetooth OBD2 sensor on the way to hook up to the app Torque for all engine diagnostics including but not limited to, MPG MPH, Torque, amount of fuel, fastest 60mph pull and many more things. ill probably add a little bit more info of nook build as more parts come in the mail for it. But will definitely do a write up if someone requests it.

I'd really like to see a write up on that nook! I'm diggin the chief keef you got playing on that nook too haha too bad about the rims, I ran into the same trouble when looking for rims, not many people talk about the center bore being smaller

Got some cheap off-road lights for about $41 bucks on ebay. Didnt really want them to use them because i get plenty of light his my HIDs and my hellas, but i LOVE the look of roof lights. So through together this little light bar and mounted some lights up. not wired yet, but will do that soon. I just wanted them mounted so i could see how awesome they look!

Quick Update!
Went to the boneyard and they only had 1 Xterra. (like usual) and it was pretty torn apart (like usual) but i got a couple of small goodies out of it for free because the people at the cash registar didnt know how to charge the stuff i got. Gotta love that. I picked up the metal hooks for the rear cargo area roof, instead of the plastic ones. I got some small cargo netting that was straped across the little cargo cubbys in the rear cargo area(dont know if this was a 2004 thing only) and i also got a little cargo holder for the roof for the driver and passenger. I will add a picture when i can find one of it. Again dont know if this a 2004 thing only, but it looked cool.

I also wired up my roof lights the same day. I needed a day that i knew i didnt have anything else going on. So my buddy nick helped me do that. We wired all the lights down to one positive and one negative wire. took out one of the screws holding the roof rack rails down and shoved the wires down that. It is the screw hole that is visible in the picture, but the wire is under the foot for added water protection. I then filled up that little hole with black calk.



It was then run down the weather stripping on the inside of the car down under the dash to the fire wall to the relay adn all that jazz. And then we had light. I was happy to get all 4 lights to one switch. I had fears of having to ahve 2 switches, but glad i got it to work. Makes it look alot cleaner inside the cab.


I did a little bit of wheeling at a park that they're building. I had permission from the construction manager as he is a family friend. He told me it was fine as long a people were working and i didn't break any of his equipment. It was nice easy wheeling. just something to get the tires dirty:)




And last thing, i gave my car a little JDM. Most of yall know what that means, but for those who dont just look it up. And look up how the car community uses it as an adjective. I spendd most of my time with lowered cars and so i had to put a little JDM on my ride. So i gave it an old license plate that i found in the basement and threw it on diagonally. most people dont understand, but i like it :)

FINALLY picked up some wheels. Got Cragar Soft 8s from some guy off Craigslist. This time i actually brought my jack to make sure they fit. Luckily i didnt have to take any of that stuff out. The guy whipped out his huge jack and air tools and took my wheel of for me to make sure they fit. Guess eh thought I was a city slicker with my v-neck, faded jeans and vans on. lol. But there they are, bought all 4 for $100! he had them listed for $250 for about a month. Offered him $100 for a base of how much i was willing to pay expecting him to say 120-130, but he took 100. GOing to get these mounted in the next few days. Cant wait
