-=-=- I sold it in June, 2017. It was an excellent chariot and an awesome opportunity to get back into off-roading and explore the area around me and the people that make up an excellent community. While I will miss her, it was time to move on and get back into something lower and faster. I will stick around and check in from time to time, and I will be here for the XN Fastasy Football League if there is still interest. Thank you to everyone who helped me out along the way with my build, and all the information that I acquired from this site was invaluable. -=-=-
After a year of owning my Xterra and finally accumulating a few mods over that time, I feel I can start my build thread. It's been a labor of love to this point, and I know it's only going to get better. I tend to explain things quite a bit, so some of my postings may be long-winded. While I don't have pictures of everything I've done, I have taken what I could and will document everything from here on out.

Now for the pictures!!!
I bought her back on April 9, 2013. From the first few forums I came across, I knew the mod bug had bitten me hard and burrowed deep. The first ever picture I took (my fiancee's Fiat next to it):
(4/9/2013)
Freshly cleaned for forum showing off (still had the temp tag):
(4/13/2013)
Picture I took for info gathering purposes when I first noticed my Xterra was little taller than stock. I had no clue till then that it had a body lift already on it:

When I first bought it, I was throwing a code for bad catalytic convertors or bad O2 sensors. I was pretty upset about that so I took it back to the dealership which was a little operation, not a big official dealership. They decided in good faith to replace the front cats for me, which was performed by their in-house mechanic. Took two weeks for them to find cheap enough ones and install them. The codes were gone, but I still couldn't pass an emissions inspection and I was noticing a huge loss of power. For 3 months, I replaced anything I could, sought the advice of anyone willing to help me on CX, and I was frustrated beyond all belief. Buyer's remorse was really settling in. It was at that point I decided I needed to get professional help with it, so after looking through reviews for local shops, I found a really good one. Long story short, he hooked it up to the scan tool and found that the wires for the O2 sensors were plugged into the wrong connectors. After switching them to the correct ones and replacing the badly damaged O2 sensors from the dealership mechanic's doing, the B-2 was good as new! Such a headache relief! Obviously no mods were really done to that point besides maintenance, but I still went out for some riding.

About 4 months ago, I started to get really pumped about what I should do next. After reading through tons of posts for ideas, and knowing that a set of 33's with new wheels were coming my way, I decided steering upgrades were a good bet. Not wanting to fork out over $1,000 for a full set, I pieced it together. With our Albuquerque meet and greet coming up, I figured I could get some more knowledgeable fellows to assist me with installation. The day came, and we figured knocking out a torsion bar crank would finish off my already installed suspension lift components. The thought of doing it swiftly was just that, a thought. It took the whole day, a busted forehead, a few beers, delicious pulled pork tacos, and fun for it to happen. Which couldn't have happened if not for rokdaddy, NMTerras, and CaptainMorgan_SOS all pitching in. Thank you gentlemen. We also discovered a couple of unexpected bonuses when we were under the truck, the first one being that the truck already had Sway-A-Way torsion bars and secondly there was already an Add-A-Leaf in there. Very Nice! While the decision at the time was to not put the shackles on, I'm still contemplating the idea of installing them. It will add a little bit of a rake though, which is the part that I'm thinking the most about.
Only picture I took of the meet up, although Captain and NMTerras took a few (even one of me bleeding I believe):
(4/5/2014)
Post lift with wheels and tires and I'm a very happy man. It's awesome how quick I've gotten to this point so far and yet enticingly daunting how much more I want to do. My goal for the B-2 is to have a very solid, capable off road vehicle that I can count on getting me to where I need to go everyday and getting me in and out of places I wouldn't normally have gone. Since this is going to be my daily driver for quite a while, reliability will always be my first priority.
(4/6/2014)
And pre-suspension lift but more pics of the front:
(3/19/2014)
(I smacked the crap out of a dirt bank on my first off-road adventure, hence the tilt of le bar)
Pre-corrected rear bumper, but repping the squadron:
Much more to come over summer 2015, hope you enjoy!
