I'm really pissed tho. I can't find the Wolverine #2. Was going to send it in for the 50th anniversary signing thing. I know I've had it in my hands, but all I could find is 3 and 4.

That's it. Everything I send in to get graded is getting pressed by a 3rd party now. I'm so tired of shiat that I think looks good getting shiatty grades.

@Fromfrontier2Xterra did you see that CGC bought an autograph authentication company? So they're going to start verifying unwitnessed signatures.

It’s seriously crazy to me that comic books I bought, collected and read as a kid are now worth so much. Love it.

Mailed in 1st Ghost Rider. Based on the 6s and 7s that I've looked at I'm hopeful.

$300 for the press and grade. Even at a 5 I'm in the black.

Trial of Magneto (X-men 200) came back at a 9.2. That's going on the wall. The rest of that submission was also dissapoint. 1st Apocalypse at a 7. Another 1st Gambit at a 6.5.

Next modern submission is going to be some more Gambit stuff and relevant X-men 97 books.

Have a stack of old Spider-Man that's going soon. 12 books. No keys, but hopefully enough to make some money.

Found an excellent Wolverine 8 while going through shiat tonight. Probably a 9.2 or 9.4. I love the cover. It's DeVito and Schwarzenegger twins vibes with Wolverine and Hulk.

So I've got about 50+ copies each of the '96 Marvel #1s. Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Avengers, & Elektra. All 100% new. Potentially 9.8 or better. I'm quite unsure what to do with them. On the paper they're printed printed on, worthless. But I also don't see a reason to pay money to have them graded unless I can get some 9.9s or 10s.

Dug out all of the X-Men and Spider-Man keys that I'm going to have slabbed. It's a lot. Also earmarked 6 books I need to buy to have a complete run of Warlord. Some random DC property. Once I buy those for cheap I'm going to sell all of it. 1-133 run, 6 issue mini series and 1st appearance and origin of the character. Get out of my house.

So I've got a spreadsheet I'm using to track all the money in the comic book shiat. I've spent ~$5500. But. I'm only in the hole about $600. Not bad for a years worth of work and a bunch of cool valuable shiat on my walls.

If I calculate in the FMV of the stuff I've got on the walls and graded stuff that doesn't have a home yet, I'm in the black about $2k. As long as this hobby keeps paying for itself, I'm good.

I have an announcement. Every comic in this house has been bagged and boarded. Let the sorting commence!

The market needs to figure out what the ufck it's doing about grading. CGC has had lots of issues in the past year and now the grading on vintage books is like 120 days out. I've got a bunch in that were received on October 1st. I'll be lucky to see them by 4th of July. The modern turnaround is OK once they get to it. Last modern batch was 30 days. But. I've had a box that they received 3 weeks ago that hasn't even been entered into their system.

I want PSA to have a better label once they actually launch the comic grading service. And for those books to do well. I have a bunch that I want to slab so I can put them on the wall but I'll probably sit on them till mid next year.
