Got an Asus transformer for xmas. what cases are you people having good luck with. i was looking for something kind of like an outerbox for my tab because i'm a shmuck and i drop stuff fairly often. any inputs?

Which one did you get? Reason I ask is there are GPS issues with one of the OEM backings. That will help determine which case you need.

You got one of the good ones. The ones with the aluminum bodies have trouble acquiring satellites for GPS.


Anyway..do you want a hard case or more of a rubberized type?

Are you ever going to mount it in your truck? If not, you can get one that thick/sturdy. If you are, you'll need something thinner so it'll fit in a RAM.

I can't speak for this specific tablet, but Gumdrop has an extremely good reputation with electronics protection. High end Griffin cases are also very good. I just bought a survivor series case for my new iPad. I don't think they make them for your new toy, unfortunately.
