Now you have to share the story

Well, it's the culmination of events starting early June 2013. I had been feeling increasingly lazy, and just decided "You know what? Not gonna shave this week". I usually only shave once or twice a week. Being a machinist, I don't have to maintain any sort of "professional appearance". So I didn't shave. Then, the next week, I was still feeling lazy, and again decided against picking up the trimmer or razor.
Couple weeks later and I finally decided to pick up the trimmer and a razor and just trim around my piercing, so I did. But nothing more.
Here we are, late August, I've only done the occasional trim on the mustache but like to keep the area around the piercing smooth or short stubble; hairs are pretty uncomfortable around the jewelry. I've been keeping up with combing, usually twice a day or more if I get bored. My wife won't massage it, but my buddy's girlfriend does, so we'll be trying to hang out with them more often. All in all, it's been a great growing experience. It's pretty equal to the paternity beard I had going on before my son was born, only that one took a much longer time to get to a similar length.
OH...wait...you meant the eye. Let's just say, I won the battle, and I put the other guy in a dumpster.
I lost my left contact in my eye. It managed to fold itself up into 4's, so it was pretty well buried in the extreme upper left corner of my eye. Took the better part of 15 minutes to find and remove.
