I don't get it, don't they have these on the side of the road:

That should be enough to get people to look out for them. If it's too dark to see something on the shoulder at night, then maybe you are going too fast?

I'm not sure how they drive out there, but if they drive anything like the people down by Ft Campbell. Then no its not enough because people around base have their heads shoved up their fourth point of contact its ridiculous and think only things involving them are important, that the road belongs to them and everyone else should get out of their way.

Yeah, stupid drivers are everywhere. I used to live in Missouri close to a large population of Amish and never had a problem with them being in the way. I just don't see how someone who shares the roads with buggies in the day time could be so blind at night.

I'll give them the part where if its dark the buggy doesn't stand out like a white car, but at the same time neither does a black car. People are just getting ridiculous and the reflective tape they offered to use would have been fine. Drivers would have just had to pay attention and watch for the grey shiny strips in the dark.
