That used to be the case when the race car was almost the same car you can buy in the showroom. Now it's largely irrelevant and Nascar is a Ford Vs Chevy cult that no one will escape.

Friday install a cage, racing seat, racing tires, and performance mods.

I mean, I guess with the camaro gone cool chevy is reduced to the corvette, which I liked the c5/c6/c7 all better than the c8
Dodge is done building the hemi/v8, all hail stellantis
Ford I feel is kinda popping, new(ish) mustang and very serious about endurance racing (which to me is a lot cooler than nascar) new off road oriented bronco, neither the 5.0 or eco boost are what I'd call dull
Ford sometimes gets it wrong, but right now they doing it right imo
