So we bought a processor for one of our stations about a month ago. The proc didn't want to align between the analog and HD signals. No problem they say, they'll set up a new unit and send it out. Three weeks later they figure out how to do it and it gets to my desk. I go to install it today, and it doesn't push the audio loud enough.

You have ONE JOB dudes.

I just got down off a roof, looking at a control valve that won't close. Valve is 65psi min to operate, gauge reads 30psi. Gee, I wonder why this valve won't close?

We've only had air pressure problems here for 15 years now, can't imagine why it keeps being a problem with all the nothing they're doing to remedy it.

True story, hired our front desk "dispatch" lady. Told her, and put in the job description, that her job is basically handling the ticket log, dispatching us out to where we are needed, and answering phones. PLUS tracking data, running reports, etc. Basic clerical shiat around the office.

90 days in shes like nope, i was hired to run the desk and thats it. "Want me to do more, pay me more."

Explained that her job posting clearly said what were the duties, but that we dont dump them all on you at first. Once you get the hang of one part, we go to the second. Then, the third.

Somehow she decided what she would and would not do, after the fact. That's what we get for hiring someone in their 20s I guess.

Me thinks she is short for this office.

We had 1 of those last summer. Im not comfortable taking information from the customers. That is 1 of the main things you were hired for. We made you a short check sheet of the information to get. And dont like talking to customers in person. Come on. She didnt last 2 months. And I think she spent more time on her phone than anything else.

Ok, how NOT to win repeat business: I go to O’Reilly’s (mistake 1) and order an AC Delco air filter for Shizuka, as recommended by TerryD. So I show up today to pick it up and the counter dude brings up a Microguard. So I tell him I ordered an ACD and he tells me I not to put an ACD on a Nissan. He recommends a K&N. Then he says “I hate Nissans anyway, especially those 4.0s in Xterra. Too temperamental.”

So lemme get this straight: here’s a chucklehead who hates Nissans telling me what part to put on my Nissan? It was all i could do to tell the guy to shut up and go home to fix his jeep. Loser.

Should have asked him what exactly is temperamental about it. I’d be curious…
