We just bought 2 brand new machines, got them delivered and installed last/this week, I made first chips on one of them tonight. Wins all around.

The shop I work at really needs to start replacing their machines with newer technology. All but 3 are 20 to 30+ years old.

Ours aren't that bad, but they're still old. A year or two ago we picked up a really nice Mazak (forget the model) and the ones we just got are both Mori Seiki. A CL2000-BT and an NLX1500 700 w/ gantry loader.

I like mori lathes they just run, I never cared for mazak. I dont like how mazaks are over complicated the ones I have worked on you had to go through 3 different pages just to make an offset.

The mori work on the most does not even use G54 if it finds one in the program it will alarm.
