Saw a rig for private sale here locally. Clean. Second gen. Higher miles than I’d want but within reason. On a lark went and checked NADA. Turns out it’s a steal at $125 less than full retail book value. (((Snort)))

Plex server needed an upgrade. Figured since I was getting a legit server, might as well put some serious storage in it. four 4T drives in a RAID5 makes for serious storage compared to the 2T I have now. Did I mention I have less than 2Gig left on the existing drive?

My Plex is running on an apple Xserve (Dual Xeon 2.6, 8 cores, 24gb ram, OS on RAID 0 with 2x250gb mSATA cards). Media storage is two Drobo units. 4 bay and an 8 bay. I've got about 20tb total storage.
