yeah, that's what gas is here in STL, the problem is that all of our gas is at LEAST 10% ethanol. so you get sh!tty-er gas mileage out of it.

It's hard to find regular unleaded without ethanol around here..I know of only 2 gas stations in my town that sell no-ethanol. I noticed a HUGE difference (I'm talking 2mpg) in my Hardbody's mileage when ethanol started appearing.

yeah, stupid state of missouri and their stupid laws...all gasoline sold here HAS to be at least 10% ethanol. The original intention was that it would make gas that much cheaper. all it did was drop mpg's and the prices stayed about the same

It probably cut cost for the stations but they keep the prices the same. It's just another example of the people with too much control screwing the little guy.

Its crazy.... honestly I would not mind for a national gas price....that is if it was reasonable and low.

If environmentalist were not so worried about offshore drilling, it would actually lower our gas prices a lot, create american jobs, and keep the money in our economy. But I don't want to get a political argument going thats just my 2 cents.

If this was to happen you would not get the cheap price everywhere, you would be more likely to have the expensive price EVERYwhere. Some places have higher gas prices because they have environmental regulations requiring certain blends of gas for certain times of the year. California is a good example of this.

As for the 10% ethanal, it is not the "MAN" sticking it to the little guy it is the government and the E.P.A. sticking it to the tax payers. ;)

Yeah I see where you are coming from thats why if I was part of the congress or what not my main point would most likely be offshore drilling because once people realize how much it would benefit our economy but this is a whole other topic lol. I have written to many papers on this topic/

There is one gas station around me that advertises Ethenol-Free gas. Though it is 3.56 a gallon compared to 2.99 a gallon for the Ethenol-Enriched (clever use of the word enriched IMO) gas.

Hmmm, I'm awesome :D Really though, I'd say 80% of that driving was perfectly flat highway driving at 70mph. And the other 20% was slowing down for small towns and the limited city driving done.

Give it a try you should get better mpgs and would make up for the price difference, heck, you may even make out better. and the non-ethenol is WAY better for your engine.

Yeah, but the 4x4 X is only rated to get 21mpg so I'm happy with 22mpg WITH a Hefty bumper and skid :D:D

Ahh, see, you have the 4.0, we have 3.3L, so there would be a difference like that. 2nd gens also have a different rearend gear than we do, and a 6spd trans (if I remember correctly).

It's hard to tell from a video but it sounds like open exhaust to me. It doesn't seem to have the tone a muffler would give it.

It's been 10 years since I've had any algebra instruction...my girlfriend had to give me a crash-course tutoring session last night to remind me how to do some of this crap.

Algebra for EMT school?

So it was 55'F today so I wanted to wash the X once more before winter. It turned out nicely except for the tires. I don't know why they won't come clean, I used a little wheel cleaner and nothing happened.

I think they may be the older style of B.F. Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A just before they started making the KM2.
