If I had a bigger garage I’d definitely pick up a second and have one be my daily and the other for fun. Then eventually probably combine them into one parts-wise and keep things going longer.
I don't mind keeping old stuff going. I like hunting in junk yards and such, it's enjoyable to me.

I need more aftermarket parts availability and lower prices for what's available. Blowing up $500 stock shafts and $900 lockers on 33" tires is hard to swallow. 37s? Yeah, sure. You're asking for it. But 33s? Ugh....

And there's a list of other things I've invested hours of time trying to make work or find work arounds with off-the-shelf parts to no avail.

I love my Xterra for what it is. If I could justify 5 vehicles with 2 drivers, it wouldn't be on the chopping block. But time are lean and getting leaner.

@ffxcores if you want a good beater rig with some great parts, let's talk. I hate to see it go and basically start completely over again, but I can't justify going much farther with this platform.

I love my X but with 240k mi it's beginning to show its age too. I'd love another but for the same reasons as you, I'm leary of getting into another one or keeping this one going..

I plan to drive it into the ground tho.

This is my plan as well. Then, maybe I move to wheeling the frontier, and get a new Frontier once they work the bugs out.

Then again, there's always jeep and Toyota.... But o_O

No. Sitting inside a Taco is TERRIBLE. I guess if you're a short person it'd be OK, but to me it feels like being in a clown car.
This. And the price of the Taco I looked at wasnt even that much different than the used Tundra I was looking at, so I went with the Tundra.

See I don’t have that problem and I’m between 6’ and 6’1”. Plus I use to drive all over in it. Never found it uncomfortable. But if I did, I never would have bought one lol

So I’ve been running errands in the f150 all morning. This is the best analogy I can come up with between the taco and the f150.

The Tacoma is the nice outfit that looks and performs well. The f150 is the big ass hoody you have and will never get rid of because it is comfortable as ufck and does what you need it to. Granted, that’s one day of driving and what I could come up with between the two if it makes sense lol.

I'm 5'10". I fit in about any vehicle relatively well. I need a full size to tow with. My 3/4t came in crew cab (1/2t of the body style I wanted didn't) and was the same price. When I tow, I appreciate the 3/4t brakes and 4.10 gears.
