See I don’t have that problem and I’m between 6’ and 6’1”. Plus I use to drive all over in it. Never found it uncomfortable. But if I did, I never would have bought one lol
I know lots of people who are tall, and have no issue with the taco seats. I'm just saying the taco's not for me. I've not sat in a 4runner as a driver, so no idea there. Never sat in a tundra either.

Sounds like it's time for a paint job. :)

That's Rustoleum Pro Flat Black and 4 years of sitting in the driveway in the Colorado sun. I really don't want to pull it and paint it again.

@ffxcores if you want a good beater rig with some great parts, let's talk. I hate to see it go and basically start completely over again, but I can't justify going much farther with this platform.
If I had the space and timing were different I’d be all over it. If I did it now it would have to be a flip like the other one (which ironically was also a 2007 S with lockers, Shrock front, Maxterra rear), but the market right now isn’t supportive of that. I paid $7k for that one, and recently he’d have probably gotten $10k. Still wish I’d taken the diffs from that one.

$32K for a 2011 Pro4X with 50K miles!

I posted this back in June... looks like it's still for sale, now $5K lower at $27K.

Used vehicle pricing is still crazy. But maybe it's getting slightly less crazy?

No. Sitting inside a Taco is TERRIBLE. I guess if you're a short person it'd be OK, but to me it feels like being in a clown car.

Same. I thought I'd like a 3rd gen 4Runner until I test drove one. The uncomfortable seating position (I'm 6'4") plus the Toyota tax led us to the Xterra. It seems like Xterra ownership skews taller, just based on other local owners I've met on group runs.

Depends on whether you like rust oleum hammered paints but I hand brushed my rack and you can’t tell. You can get a quart for $20. Hammered black is mor like a hammered dark metallic gray. I think you might be able to brush in place. I took mine apart and hung the tubes vertically from the ceiling. I coated all the plastic with black bed liner but I think you could paint the whole thing with hammered. I painted my metal-wood- plastic shovel to match the rack and it seems fine

It is totally ONE of the points! Hahaha. Who the ufck wants to drive around in a brand new single cab work truck as thier personal daily with absolutely zero creature comforts.
Everything has power windows and A/C now. Most have Bluetooth. What else do I really need?

The work truck package Ram 2500 I looked at in 2019 was still a lot better equipped than my 2000 OBS GMC SLE.

And bench seats are nice.
