I was thinking about doing that or at least running an extention cord to the back and just using it as needed. I want to try and mount it under the passenger seat.

That's when I was thankful the past owner pulled 0 gauge wire to under the passenger seat. All I needed was a fuse blockGot some work down yesterday.
Did a permanent wiring for my 1000th inverter. It's not screwed down but because of where it is there's no room for it to move anyways.
Also replaced a pair of subs that I bought used about 8 years ago. Still using the amp though. Had to run the wires for this too......so many cables pulled.
Out with the old in with the new

I dont think a rope would have helped much....it was side to side movement that snapped it
