I was thinking about doing that or at least running an extention cord to the back and just using it as needed. I want to try and mount it under the passenger seat.

I put a 1750w under the passenger seat, that took a bit of tweaking, but my old 1200w fit fine.

I ran an extension and put an outlet in the cubby hole, so it's out of the way but still very accessible.

Got some battery terminals in so I can clean up the cables running to the battery a bit. Also put side post terminals on and ran the winch there.

How it was:

I still need to do the positive terminal but I'm not sure the cables will reach with how they are run stock. I need to get a larger ring lug for the additional fuse block cable so I can put it on the side posts also.

Got some work down yesterday.

Did a permanent wiring for my 1000th inverter. It's not screwed down but because of where it is there's no room for it to move anyways.

Also replaced a pair of subs that I bought used about 8 years ago. Still using the amp though. Had to run the wires for this too......so many cables pulled.

Out with the old in with the new

That's when I was thankful the past owner pulled 0 gauge wire to under the passenger seat. All I needed was a fuse block

Lol yeah I might should do that one day.....but I pulled 2 #4 cables. I don't really see any need for more large cables.

I'll never need anything bigger than a 1000w amp for audio....though right now I'm only using a 500w so I could add one for regular speakers.

However I could see me wanting a larger inverter. .......

I went straight to the battery with an 80 amp inline fuse. At 1000 watts it'll pull right about 84 amps so 80 should be fine for the most part.

I can get pictures if you want them but they might be hard to get. I took the passenger seat out to make things much easier when running wires.

I drilled new holes to run the wire behind the glove box. It was harder to fish the cable through than anything else.

I had a bit of an idea that I'm not sure how it would look. Since my headliner is bedlined black I was thinking maybe putting some of the cheap LED strips on the headliner at each seat and possibly the cargo area. As for the wiring I have 3 options, 1) tied to the dome light circuit 2) all of them on a dedicated switch 3) each light on their own switch (the cargo still on the dome light....maybe)

These are the ones I'm looking at using if I even go through with this. They have a black background so they should blend fairly well with the headliner.

I dont think a rope would have helped much....it was side to side movement that snapped it
