Nice mod for sure. Although, if you wanted to be really amish about it, you should just keep a flint and some twigs in the center console...

ARB bumper lift.:

After being turned away from a local shop twice due to over booking on the shops part, my good friend Dustin "Ricer-X" called me up and said to come down to his buddies (a jeeper) shop.

For you local TX guys, hit this guy up for any fab work you want done to your X. He is very reasonable and a great guy to be around.

Made it to the shop in Spring, TX. You can see that the ARB is nosing down and not lifted for a BL.

Drilling out the boxed frame horns.

Two through bolts and one just threaded into the frame horn. We decided that the bumper was strong enough with this setup and didn't need to be welded.

This is right where I wanted the bumper. This way the bumper has a little clearance if a little flexing action occurred.

The lifted ARB.

There will be a next time. It was everyone's first time and we all loved the park. It's nice to have roads to get back to camp in case of a breakdown, General Sams doesn't have that.
