Once my new power distribution gets here, I'll test your theory with an ammeter. Something is drawing. And I'll find out what.

Also, updated OP clean out those stupid imageshack things. I need to fix my PC in order to rescue those pictures and rehost them.

Have also added some wheel spacers. 1.25" front 1.5" rear. Even though I've cut the crap out of the front fenders, It seems as though I need to get the BFH involved as there still needs to be more clearance. Heading to Carova beach this weekend....might bring the BFH with me and pound the corners while on the sand.

Went to a service call today. And I ended up driving my truck instead of the work van.

I came out of the house, and it looked nice with nothing around but a road.

LOL I usually have a lot of creativity but the money part is kinda hard with kids and house etc etc. Luckily I have equipped myself with machines and fabrication equipment that allows me to MAKE most of the stuff I would have to buy. Even with all of that I still have to get the time to do it. It is therefore important that I really LIKE the vehicle I am working on or nothing ever gets done. I think I am gonna like this Xterra if I can ever find one....

Got into a bit of a row yesterday with a Chevy Cobalt.

The RLC is a little bent on the mounts. Drivers side mounting bolts are non existent. Grill is trash. Passenger side fender too. Won't know about any damage to the headlights or mounts for them until the body shop looks at it.

The frame horns look straight and the airbags didn't deploy. So I doubt very much that they'll total it. Have an appointment with the insurance company this week.
Knocked some nice holes in the Chevy though.

How is that cobalt not crushed? I was expecting his trunk to be inside the living compartment with how bent up you got... Who was at fault?

Mine for sure. Came around the corner, light was green, didn't even see the car.

I'm kinda surprised too. But I have a feeling a large part of it was that the bumper wasn't bolted on securely. Only from the bolts and one on each side of the frame horns.

Yeah if the bumper was 100% secure it wouldn't have budged and probably would've done work to the cobalt. Good for you it didn't since you were at fault. Hopefully you can get it all straightened out in a cost effective manner!

I had an almost identical incident happen on my X. Same side and everything. Just a tip for the fender..Instead of having insurance get a new one and paint it, I took the check and one day hit it when I was frustrated working in the engine bay and I kid you not, it popped out to the original shape perfectly.

Moral of the story..Go work on your X, stand by that fender, and let anger do the rest.

Sorry to hear about the wreck though, at least nobody was hurt. Damage on both ends doesn't look bad at all either.

I definitely think I'm going to take the check. Even if the fender has to be replaced, I'll go grab a scrap blue one from a junk yard and do it myself. And I'll just take the bumper to the fab guy that fixed it from the shipping damage and have it sorted. The headlights are so modified that I'll never get full replacements back from the insurance. But. If I have to replace them a new pair and swapping in my retrofit would take all of 5 minutes.

Damn man, sorry to hear. From looking on the different Facebook Xterra pages, there were a few other Xterras that were in accidents. Not a good past 72 hours it seems

Picked up the first check from the insurance. Need to get the bumper off and over to a fab shop for an estimate on repairs and powder coat.
