One rear done. Infinity Reference 6.5 Component set. It sounds so much better even with the RF amp. Can't wait to get the Infinity amp in.

Everything wrapped and zip tied.

Can't even tell. The way it should be.

Ran out of daylight. Gonna do the other side tomorrow.

I like it when things come with stickers.

One shock mount disappeared. And 7/8 of one spring perch. Hope to be installing this beautiful bastard next weekend.

7/8ths of the way done. One side is done and painted. The other side just needs the base of the perch ground down. Eye protection is your friend. Especially when using Harbor Freight cutting wheels.

Should be able to get it over to my buddies house this week and weld on the new perches and shock mounts.

I'm going to cut the stock upper shock mounts off of the frame rail. These go in thier place and raise the upper mount above the frame. The only reason this is possible is the 2" body lift.

And I'll have to do some futzing with the passenger side as it's right at an arch in the frame. So that angle isn't going to be perfect

Obviously this location is wrong, but. The gussets go off the back side and across the top of the frame rail to reinforce the mounting tab.

I'm doing this so that I can rotate the lower shock mounts on the axle so they don't hang down past the tube and I don't sacrifice shock length.

I'm going to use factory lower shock bolts up top with shock washers and a lock nut.

Now that I just looked at it again the gussets are going to be completely wrong on the passenger side. I'll have to cut new ones.

Need Bigger Tires
Way late to the party, but good call on the anything but arb locker. Almost everyone I know with an arb has air leaking issues (including myself). I have to replace the seals on the carrier. Pretty expensive open carrier until I get time to do that.

I know two 4 spider gear elockers break, but that is pretty rare. I also have a grizzly auto locker in my basement that I'm tempted to swap in and sell the ARB.

I had an ARB in my 1st Gen and it was flawless. I would have been tempted to do it if I already had the air set up in this truck, but the E-locker was cheaper and plug and play

Glad to see your X has been a steady project.

Glad to see you all are still kicking.

You know how you get around to things immediately before going on a trip?

Well I ripped my dash apart today to finally wire up the lighting for the inclinometer.

And I'm floored. This is brilliant. 6k LEDs of course.

Sweet lookin!
..although the older I get the darker I want it in the cab while wheeling at night. Does that extra glow bother ya? When I turn my wheel the aux switches to the left of the wheel kinda bother me when they brighten up from being blocked when the wheel is straight (always fwd, never straight!)

I know exactly what you mean. I have the dash dimmer at the lowest setting. Always. I wish there was one lower. If I turn it up everything yells at me.
Ditto on wishing there was a lower setting or two on the dimmer. In fact I may not be hooking up the extra "on" part of my switches I plan to install. (that I'd bought with that feature not realizing how bright they'd be)

I kind of want those to yell at me.

"Yo, idiot, your locker is on!"
