Something like that...... I'll show you what needs to be done, but it's a lot of soldering.

    Thanks guys.

Started putting together parts for the dash swap. I need to change the head unit, so the dash and center stack needs to be done at the same time. Got the 2009+ radio bezel and climate controls coming. Now I need the outer bezel w/ vents. Looks like I need those from the dealer. Can't find them anywhere on eBay and Courtesy Parts has the bezel for $150, so I should be able to get it cheaper from my contact. I've also got a replacement 4wd switch on the way so I can take it apart and figure out how to change the illumination.

I also realized that I need to do it in window switches ugh..

Thankfully, my steering switches don't light up.

Also, I think I'm going to swap the gauge face to the later model / pathy setup. No little circles around the idiot lights and a silver bezel around the 4 major gauges. Much cleaner look, but exact same setup.

    Yeah. I can't wait.

Found an 08 Pathy speedo cluster for cheap. So that's coming too. Also going to remove the LED for the TPMS. It's a primitive system compared to the one in the wife's truck. And since I can't actually see the pressures anywhere, it's not self clearing, and floatation size tires will be run about 30lbs anyway... The entire system is useless to me.

Food for thought.. Don't set the bils at full 2".. The ride is bad and will blow the shocks. I recommend setting them at 1" and using a 1" top plate spacer

    So. Happy moment.

I have a hatred for red turn signals. I can't stand them. I think they're stupid and I had this big elaborate plan for fixing this on the truck.

It involved rewiring the tail lights so that the reverse light was both reverse and the turn signal. And then the old turn signal was the brake light.

Turns out none of that is necessary.

The amber LEDs shine beautifully through the red lens!

    I never would have thought.

Still need to do the front lights and load resistors. But the rear is done.

Oh. And that also means I have a pair of red 3157s & a pair of 7443 switch backs that I can return for money!

I've thought about redoing my lights as well. Maybe running amber and the signal wiring to my reverse lights and just using the LEDs for reverse lights.. maybe one day when I'm bored haha

Yes. And it's easier to ditch the orange dash illumination on the newer stuff. And instead of 4 fan speeds you get unlimited fan speeds.

But mostly it's more visually appealing. The climate knobs are so chunky and clunky. It's just ugly.
