Big waste of money... and if you do go out on a trail.. and hit a mud puddle.. its a straw :)
Ask Luke he had one for a trip...

The air box mod does the same thing foe about 10.00... and the price of a good K&N

I'll be ON road more than I'll be OFF road. Spring Hill is a haul twice a week, not to mention how bad my 2mi round trip commute to work is KILLING my fuel mileage. I went from 16mpg to 14.3 in a week.

Ive never noticed a difference with those... And you would need to drive for 2 years to make up what your going to save .. even if it was one extra mpg...

The Dr. is right, if you wheel much and specially around water, it would not be a good thing to add but even dry trails cannot be that great for the CAI's oil based air filters I would not think.

But if you don't offroad at all then it is all good.

Well a lift isnt going to help :( Im sure you need to grease up the whole X and do some maintenance like that..
Keeping out of the gas pedal is the big one... I try to keep my RPM's under 3k at all times.. and 55-65 MPH.. when you start hitting 3k and 75mph its working hard..
Most cars are tuned to get Max MPGs at 55..

So maybe leave a little earlier in the morning :(

Yeah I try to run right at 3k, which is right around 70mph. I probably need new oil all the way around, and I know I need to service the trans, too. I'm waiting until May to lift it. I'm about 1000mi away from needing another oil change, and I'm already running synthetic with a Wix filter.

I've got a set of NGK wires in the back seat, but the wires are seized on the plugs and I can't get them off. Just need to pick up plugs and call it a day, but I don't have time right now to try to mess with it, besides this time of night. I wish my dad would come get my truck one afternoon and swap the plugs/wires, but he's in Mississippi duck hunting until the 31st.

Running synthetic fluids in everything is the best way to get better mpg's.. engine, tranny, t-case, and rear diff.... i also an efan conversion helps alot to... what type of synthetic do you run?

Pennzoil high mileage. Haven't had time to do anything besides oil. I need to swap the gear oil in the trans and rear end.

Honestly, the crappy MPG's is something you just have to look pass if you want the lifted look and offroad tires, I have done the SL, BL, a load warrior rack and 4 lights on top and I still get about 15-16 miles per gallon, not that bad but not that great but it is starting to get to what I wanted it to be one day so I just accept it, cause it is going to get worse im sure once I do a front tube bumper like I want too.

Just don't think about it, "Enjoy the ride". Okay so that sounded a little cheesy...sorry.

That's why I'm waiting til school is done to do anything. My BL is still in the box it came in and will be until May. Or until Karen learns to drive it and then I can lift it.

Luke- how heavy is that bumper you got? I'm thinking no stinger, and maybe add an extra bar on the ends...didn't exactly examine yours the last time I saw it, but it almost looks really wide on the outside near the fenders, or it needs a bar dropped down for aesthetics.

Hmm..from the front, it just looked like it kicked out straighter than following the body line.

Mind if I be your bumper copy cat?

Awesome. May need your help mounting it, since you know what you're doing. I won't be able to order it til I get my refund, though.

This will be the new color of all my dash trim, and the armrests on the doors.

I tested the piece above the glovebox today, just to see what it would look like.

I am in LOVE with this Rustoleum color. I left the can in the truck, but when I leave later, I'll edit and post up that color it is off the can.

FINALLY got my CHRISTMAS PRESENT installed..the first one didn't work because it didn't have enough RCA outputs, so I had to go with the Pioneer DEH-3400UB. You can change the color of the display AND the buttons, so I chose the white to go with the rest of the lights in the dash. Now I need brighter lights in my gauges to compensate for the head unit! Sheesh!

Also, once I get that resistor/relay in there (to cure that POP from the amp anytime I change the station), I"ll be installing my CB directly under the head unit. In the mean time, that space will be empty.

Yes, it's a Zac Brown Band kinda night. The first song on the display was Keep Me In Mind, the bottom photo was Whatever It Is.

Don't hate!

I just ordered the hardware for the BL. Got the pucks for Christmas, just needed the hardware. $12.87 is pretty cheap!

I have to say i love the Rustoleum color you used on the interior.

And you suck with your tinted windows..:hmmm: here in Jersey it's illegal. And for as much as I have been getting pulled over for no reason at all, i don't want to give them a reason lol

I think a family picture of you, the girlfriend, the X, and any critters would be cool. Heck you could hang that one over your fireplace! Lol. Dibs on being a firefighter, I use to be a volunteer when I was in college. It's an awesome job. Good luck with the build.

They're in the "What Do You Look Like" thread in the General Discussion. Like 2nd page I think..

Why thank ya! That was a test to see how well I liked it- since then, I haven't had time to finish the rest. Also have to figure out how to remove the bezel around the gauge cluster so it can get a few coats, too.
