hope so! gona have to relocate the bumper

Both are very easy to do.. Front use 2" metal blocks.. drill a hole and buy a few longer bolts...

Rear is very simple.. I re-used the 3 pronged bolt cut in in half.. done..

Nice looking rig!

I eventually want to run 33s also and am not a fan of BLs. I'm just going to do a 1 inch BL and then trim if necessary. In you experience with the 33s do you think you could squeeze by with only 1in of BL or is the full 2 inches needed?

Thanks!

to much of a headache and work to run the 1 inch BL, 2inch will clear all the headaches. i would love to SAS it but no funds for that ruckus

when it comes to trimming i tried to get away without a BL, i trimmed the front as much as u could and it would only rub when going over hard obstacles. but the back was the biggest issue due to the axle flex the tire would get stuffed to the fullest and rip of the plastic fenders leaving bare metal that would bend out and slice my tires like butter. i thought about trimming it but once you go that way there is no coming back. you can always buy new front fenders but not the rear your stuck with what ever mess you do. so to sum it up i found a write up about a budged BL spent $80 bucks waiting for parts now, gona get it installed when this snow is gone and im on to the next mod :)

what the Back Spacing on your rims? i thought after a 3 in SL a first gen can run 33s no problem.

im running 33's no problem now but when im rock crawling or going over big off camber obstacles the tires get stuffed all the way in and it still rubs.

Really looking good, I thought you already had a BL just by looking at it. Im sure those tires are rubbing like crazy.

Thanks! BL just came im gona be putting it on in the next week or so

now since calmini came out with a pre runner bumper which i always wanted idk if i should keep the shrock and work on some brackets to cover up the gap, or sell it and roll with calmini.

You know calmin doesn't do BL bumpers right? I'm sure you could make some plates to raise it

^ this and if you have a welder and less than 100 bucks in steel you could probably do this yourself in a couple hours.. seriously

if i had a welder that is lol, so going back to the brackets for the front bumper can anyone pitch in on how im not so sure. i was thinking of getting two metal plates that would get screwed into the frame and then bolt the bumper to them

Personally, I would get some 2x2 1/4" blocks and mount those to the frame, and then mount the bumper to that, I know Luke (xterror04) did something similar with his bumper. I would be concerned if you just had a plate sticking up. If you took a lateral hit, you would just fold those plates over.

so your saing is I should weld the 2x2 blocks to the frame and then drill holes thru them and bolt the bumper ?

I welded 2x2 ontop of my frame rails and installed the bumper to that, my bumper is welded to them though, but you could easily bolt it to them

it feels tighter and more responsive. i used to be concerned about my steering and well now im not anymore haha now i can roll around on these 33' and not care if the steering is getting ruined. gives me a piece of mind

The Calmini bumper is sick but it exposes a lot of stuff. I actually have one. My experience with them leaves a lot to be desired. If you get it and want to put lights on it keep in mind that they mount upside down. it is SOLID though, very very good build quality.

i love the new pics of your X. and even though brand new shrockworks anything seem over priced they fit the first gen body lines really well while also being functional.

and may i make one request? could you measure your tires via a tape measure cuz i swear you have 35s instead of 33s lol.

so ive decided to go with Raptor Liner for my paint job fix. looks just like line X and for about 1/4 of the price. the big thing about the Raptor is that its a spray on and they sell tintable version. i will be going back to silver with black accents. also the undercarriage is getting taken care of with rubber coating. i though about putting carpets back into the X but thats still only a thought.
