Having a Gen1 and by the VIN#, one of the older ones, I wanted to keep it as close to stock and not go with the new lighting...but DAMN you're making me rethink that.

The LED bar up top is much sleeker and low profile than my round lights were and definitely give it a different look. The amount of usable light is also very impressive compared to my old lights

Wow this is probably the cleanest looking X I have ever seen. Perfect Black/red coloring scheme too. Excellent job.

The four switches on the dash for the lights, could you give me a link to those? That is an excellent idea.

Still can't get over those headlights.....every time i see them it's just *Droooollll*
Such a sick rig man. Your attention to detail is spot on. One of my favorite first gens hands down. Not that I don't love them all.

it was actually really easy, not as hard as it seems. I just followed the write up from clubx but most of it is self explanatory and really straight forward
to get the thread back on track...jgbimle- how have the bedlined plastics been holding up compared the other paint you had on there before? mine have a lot of chips and I'm considering redoing it with bedliner

Sorry guys haven't been on here in a while but I appreciate all the compliments! I know Im a little too late Casey but like everyone said they're just a set of dually lights mounted in there.

The headlights really weren't too difficult. I did it over a weekend for the most part the projectors pretty much bolted into the housing. As far as wiring that was easy because the retrofit source provided a relay that was completely plug and play.

Yellowx16 - the berliner has been holding up really well everywhere except for the grill. It has been "bubbling" from the heat of my engine hitting the backside of the grill. Im going to spray and line the backside of the grill with some heat resistant material then rebedline and that should solve the issue.

I always have a bit of an overheating issue as it is with the all black and pushing big tires so though

Hey, how did you mount the 40" light bar to the roof? did you drill holes in the roof or did you somehow mount it to the roof rack? I can't tell from the pics.

Haven't been on here for a long time. Had some engine troubles and after I got the X back up and running I decided to trade it and buy myself a graduation present. I definitely am going to miss the X but I love the new truck. Hoping to see the X go to a good home. The dealer has a 17 year old family friend looking for a lifted truck so he may be a new member on here sometime. Heres the new ride:

I plan to still check in on the forum and check out whats new in the Xterra world. This was an awesome forum with some awesome people. I learned a ton of stuff from everyone and my X wouldn't have been what it was without the forum. Thanks!
