The BL takes 3 hours and some change if you have to modify the bumpers (well you will want to do this, but that is finesse work). The results look incredible and you will wonder why you haven't done it before.

Also I am running 265/75/16s and I like that size, but they look small on my truck now that it is lifted..

Well.. I have done about 8 or 9 BL's now... None have had any issues... And I have yet to read of any one running a BL on the Xterra that has had any..

I have ran 32's on the Turk build and love them... (With 2" BL) Link to that build

N
ow I, running 33s and Im just as happy

Dave, you're forgetting about the body falling completely off of mine on the way home and me having to put it back on and hold it in place with tie down straps and duct tape. Just a minor issue but still...

Of course I don't have any issues with the body lift. As I've said before, it's one of those things I never wanted to do but once done, I wish I had done it long ago.

Yeah, yeah. Y'all are terrible :)

Anyway, my Xoskel is finally complete!

Hellas have officially been mounted. Just waiting for the LEDs to come in from Hanma. Then I get to spend an entire day learning how to wire :uhhh:

Thanks guys.

Have fun wiring! It's not that hard if you read up on how not to light your rig on fire before hand.

Trust me, I have been researching like crazy. Plus, I'll have a "professional" assisting me.

...on that note, I have two fire extinguishers as a backup plan.

Nice dude... One thought though..

When you jack there you may want to open the door.. Incase that jack were to slip.. No dents

Ya know. I've read this a thousand times since I've had the X, and I finally use a Hi-Lift on it only to forget all about it...

Knew there was a reason we kept you around, Dave ;)

Yay for sliders! Possibly the best mod i've ever invested in. :)

Long overdue, Mel. Should have been the first thing on my list after I crunched my stock step bars last year...

What. No pictures of the actual welds? Lame. I came here for weld pictures.

You're weird. How about the WELDER? Eh? EHHHHHH?

The Hanma LEDs have arrived.

Thought about a few different options, but...

This approach worked well.

Note - washers are your friend. For reference - those are 2.5" bolts.

Capped them off with these little buggers:

Finished!

Initially, I was going to mount them slightly lower so they were closer to the roof line, but I wanted to be able to tilt them downwards and have some light around the doors.

Just waiting for the rest to show up, and I'll finally be able to wire all this stuff up.

Only one thing you may want to think about is how vulnerable to a tree limb you may be..
Looks great though

Thanks guys! I'm anxious to get everything wired up.

Dave, you must have encountered some trees that have had it out for you...

Really though, I pushed against them and I could rock the whole truck. Pretty solid :)

Yes I dropped a 50 foot tree on my work truck ONCE! and being a land surveyor I see things from what Im used to driving in ;) Old logging roads and such..

You should have saw the Xterra before bed liner... Marks all over it
