Ok good! Sometime this week I'll be bringing the X back to the mechanic so they can finish what they started. Next on the list is once Ryan get's his Body Lift on, I'll be buying his White Knuckle Sliders!

Small update... Ryan couldn't do his BL so he's keeping his WK sliders :( but thats ok. I just bought a set of used Shrock sliders! Finally I am getting sliders. A guy on the book of faces had a set for sale for $250 and he's located in Rochester, NY. Got w/ Chris (bottobro) and he is going to be kind enough to go get them for me and bring them down to WENT! A while ago I also bought a Calmini front pre-funner bumper fit for a 2nd Gen fronty for ridiculously cheap. My uncle has it in TX and should be bringing it down for me soon. I'm going to see how it fits/looks more out of curiosity. If it doesn't look good/fit good, I'll just turn around and sell it. It's slightly bent in on the pass side but I think I can make it work. If it works out, I'll get w/ Tim and see if he wants my old one.

Thanks! I'm stoked to install them at WENT!

Yesterday I fixed my dying drivers side window motor. Started stopping halfway and making all kinds of noises. Was very easy to do. Took me about 30 minutes.

Noticed my Totron light bar had some condensation building up inside the far right side. Snapped some pics and contacted Extreme LED. Should be getting fixed or replaced for free. Just waiting on a response from them.

Finally got my bumper in yesterday. I got the bumper really really cheap and the guy was going to scrap it so instead of him scrapping it, I snagged it from him. It's a 2nd Gen Calmini Pre-Runner bumper for a Frontier. I knew the mounting points would be the same but wasn't so sure about the body lines/gaps. So here it is. As soon as I put it on, I took it off. It was hideous. The gaps were way too much and doesn't look good at all. I was expecting it to look a little better but oh well. I did this at night so the pictures are not the best.

Yea, I put it on and then 10 mins later, took it off and put my other one back on lol. Most likely going to trade w/ Mr TimRich for his stock bumper. I've got an actual fabricator who says he can make me a Maxterra duplicate (as close as he can) for around $400-$500. It will actually be able to hold a winch, have actual recovery points, skid plate and top tubing.

The next project I tackle is going to be probably skids... The guy who is going to make my bumper says he can make that too. He does mostly Jeep work but does a lot of custom work. It's called Low Fab in Kiln, MS.

Well, big update. I finally did my first major modding on the X. I finally installed my SPC UCA's! Installed them yesterday. Took me about 6 hours doing it by myself. Overall it went pretty smoothly thanks to XterraPA's how to thread. I did learn however that having the right tools makes a huge difference. I'm no mechanic by any means, I've got just a basic set of wrenches and sockets and no cheater/breaker bars or anything like that. I couldn't get the bolts to budge. Went to my buddy's shop and it's amazing the difference leverage makes on bolts. When I opened the box, I realized that they sent me 2 Right UCA's. Usually, one is stamped "L" and the other "R". I contacted Nisstec and FB groups and they both said just flip one over and it's a left. They are made exactly the same so it didn't make a difference. Now all I need to do is wait for my camber bolts to come in and put on the shocks and get an alignment.
While I had it off, I looked at my coil spacers to see what brand they were since they were on it when I bought the X... There is no name branded on them. Just a black puck. Also to note... I did not cut the drivers side bolt! Nor did I unbolt the steering. I got a big breaker bar, pushed the steering out of the way enough to remove the bolt.

Here are some pic's:

Also, bought Deltaphi's old BTF Rear Diff Cover. He said the oil was seeping through the welds so all I need to do is have someone fix the welds and good to go! Next on the list is skid plates. Gotta have some of those.

Well, got back from WENT and it was freaking awesome! Picked up my sliders also and put them to the test. Got a little bit of body damage on the passenger side from a big stick and from the looks of it, both front fenders are pushed out a little bit. Got a lot of rubbing on the drivers side so I'll have to trim even more. I just wish they made the fiberglass fenders not so wide. Also cut both ball joint boots on my SPC UCA's. The mechanics didn't trim off enough so I get to replace those. Almost overheated on the trail Saturday... Coolant overflow was pouring out. I popped the cap and it was dry. I can't imagine it would spew that much out this weekend so I'm going to assume when I told the mechanics to check all fluids... they missed that one. Our trail leader (Nesty) who is a mechanic as a 2nd gig, also told me that my engine is misfiring and I need to do a tune up. So not too happy with my mechanic right now.... On Friday, the guy ahead of me on the trails didn't wait for me so I came at a fork in the trail. One had water in it and it looked like it was still moving a little so I took that route. There was a sleep incline that I thought I could make but couldn't. Hit the front bumper pretty good. Bent a skin tab and the aluminum skin got messed up. It also pushed up past the pass fender so I just bent it down and put some weight into it lol. Other than that, no issues! Won a DepHep Rear Hatch Molle Panel in the raffle and Nisstec AAL so I'm excited to install that. I'll give the AAL to my brother who really wants a lift.

Picture time!

Well, I took it back to the mechanic and gave them new boots for the ball joints and told them to cut more off and to clean and regrease the ball joints and make sure they are still good. Well got it back and it still clanks like hell. It sounds worse than CBC so I'll have to take it back to them. I would imagine they would have inspected the ball joints and re greased them but with the clank still going on, I would certainly hope they didn't rush and just put the boots on and not add any grease. I also hope the ball joints didn't go bad after 3 days of wheeling and the ride home. I hate that I got new suspension and it still rides rough as sh!t.

Hey man! I was bummed to miss out on WENT this year, but it looks like it was a great time as usual. And that sucks about the ball joints...hopefully that all gets worked out soon.

Went "wheeling" with a local group I found on Facebook call the Rough Riders Off Road Group; all Jeeps but they were pretty cool about me being the only Nissan. They weren't your typical Jeep group who was like this is Jeep and only Jeeps. Did more trail cleaning than actual wheeling. Met some cool folks, got a lot of compliments on the X and had a pretty good time. Hope to wheel with them again soon.
Here's some pictures. Some my son (6) took lol

Well got an engine issue... Not sure what's going on with it. Last night I was heading home from work and left from a stop sign and started going and got a little heavy on the throttle and it was sputtering and I didn't let off the throttle and it wouldn't go above like 2600 rpms. This went on for maybe a second or so and then it gave in and acted like I stomped on it. Here's a quick video. You'll see the RPM gauge stop and should be able to hear the engine sputtering/misfiring.

Got rid of the Lokka as I can't do an install like that myself and paying a shop would cost me twice as much so I got a Bully Dog GT Tuner instead! Install was of course complicated for me as I'm retarded lol. Couldn't get the fuse tap to cooperate and unbeknownst to me, I was trying to install it wrong. Once I figured out I was retarded, it went pretty smoothly. Downloaded all of the things and immediately ran diagnostics on it and found CAM Shaft Sensor was bad. I've replaced that sensor 2 times already so not sure what's going on there.

Dropped it off at the mechanic Thursday. It was throwing a few codes as you can see above... They called me Friday asking me about the Warranty on the engine (that's not a good sign) and who they needed to contact about it. They said that it sounds like there is a timing issue and aren't going to tear it down until they find out about the warranty. The engine was installed in Sept 2013 and it has a 3 year/Unlimited mileage warranty. The mechanics who installed it said the timing components came already attached to the engine when they received it so they didn't "install" it. It only has 34k miles on it since being installed so the timing components should not be damaged. I hope and pray that it's covered under warranty. I've been through too much $hit with this damn vehicle that I don't even want to think about it. I'm at the point right now that even if its covered under warranty and gets fixed, I don't even want the dam thing. It's almost paid off like within a few months of being paid off so I would like to keep it so I don't have a note anymore but I can't keep fixing this dam thing. So hopefully I'll hear something today from the mechanic about warranty work and then I can really start looking for a replacement. I would love to stay in the Xterra but of course, there isn't any Xterra's near me worth my time/money and to be honest, I'm a little burned out by the Xterra. I've literally gone through all of the "Near by" cities on Craigslist and there's nothing. I've had the best luck with Autotrader.com. I found a 2011 Pro-4X with a limited lifetime power train warranty which certainly peaks my interest but its in Dallas, TX. I don't mind traveling to find the right one for me. I could easily have it shipped or I could fly there and drive it back. I just have to figure out what to do. I could switch the majority of the stuff over to the new X pretty easily if I decide to go that route. I'll post an update when I find out some more info.

Yea, this will be the 3rd. Yes I said 3rd time timing components will be changed out. I can only hope that I'll be reimbursed. Once it's done, I'm selling it and moving on.
