Yea I just can't seem to catch a break with this thing. For the first time in a long time, things were going well. Things were looking up. I hope to have some good news tomorrow about the X. I didn't see any frame damage so I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not lol. I know the hood, fender, grill and headlight need replacing, I sure hope the suspension is fine. Hitting at that angle just worries me that something could be wrong. I didn't see any scrapes or kinks or anything but I'm having them thoroughly check everything.

Got the estimate back today, almost $3k in damages. I told them about the seat belt and said they would check it. I also told them to check all suspension components and engine bay just in case because the alignment is off a little. I can't open the hood so I'm not sure if its just the cable that isn't allowing me to open it or if its the mechanism. They are giving me $1k for the bumper so I'm going to hit up Hefty and get one from him. They just so happened to have one in stock already powder coated which is good for me so I should get it pretty quick. New fender and grill along w/ new headlights also. They should be cutting me a check for the headlights, grill and bumper. Sad part is that the damn grill is $179 more than the fender! 1 Headlight also cost more than the fender. They said it should be done in 7 business days, fingers crossed!

Meant to update this.
The X is officially dead. Insurance company said it was totaled. Both frame rails were bent about 2.5" over. Bumper mounts were mangled too. I thought it was just going to be body damage but with the frame bent, its toast. Good thing is I've already got a fully built rig in the works. Just waiting on my insurance check to come in. I'll be buying the new rig Tuesday and then flying to get it.

And how it sits now. I still have to get the coilovers and ucas off though but that pretty easy to unmount. I want to get the leafs off but tracking down another set is seeming to be difficult.

I have to bring it back to the insurance guy and in order for me to get the full amount of replacement, whatever I take off, I have to put the stock back on. They have to inspect it to make sure I didn't take like the whole front diff or any other sh1t off.

I honestly think its a cursed blessing lol. I'm sad to see it go but on the other hand, the new rig its 10x better. I hope to fly out to Chicago Wednesday Night, deal with paperwork and drive it back home Thursday. I've already have Miller from GLX go by and inspect it for me and I've been talking with the original owner who had all the mods put on it and Miller helped put more than half the mods on it so I trust his word on it and says its a very solid rig. It's fully built too so I literally have to do nothing to it. Full Titan swapped, 2.0 Radflo's, Alcan Springs, Shrock front bumper, Bucksnort rear w/ tire carrier, ARB Air locker in the front, snorkel, and all other kinds of goodies. Speaking with the owner too he says if I come by his house, he has a lot more I can come get that he took off the X.

But I'm not 100% sure on what I'll be bringing mod wise until I get this one home. My brother wants some of them but he's not sure what yet. Dibs have been called on the snorkel already. Idk if I'll sell the light bar as I want to see how well these HID KC's light up. But once I know for sure, I'll post up. Just keep an eye open.

Yea, its been 5 years. Had it paid off for a whole 3 months before this happened. I'm honestly glad to have it die but it does make me a little sad. yea, the new truck is gong to be freaking sweet! I can't wait to go pick it up!

Well, yesterday was the last day I owned the Xterra. I almost teared up when I dropped it off at the shop. Been through thick and thin with this rig and I never gave up on it, no matter how stubborn it was. Everything was taken off and it was put back to stock. I tried my best to find a set of rear leaf springs but not a single junkyard had any and my brother's were so rusted that we would have to cut them off so unfortunately, they stayed on but everything else came off.
And in case anyone was curious to what the X would look like on gmc 17's, it actually looks pretty good.
And I fly out Wednesday to Chicago to pick up my new Xterra and drive it back home! Called the dealership this morning to make sure everything was ready to go and they said all they needed was a signature and the $$ and I'll be good to go! I've very very excited to start a new journey with this rig and all the adventures that come with it. It's a much better rig all the way around and I feel like a kid on Xmas morning! I'll post some new pics of the new rig and then start a build thread for it once I get all the specs.
