Yea, at first I just wanted them tapped into the reverse lights. Now, I want a switch. That way if I'm out camping or what not, I can have extra lights without having to leave the X in reverse lol. I found a thread over on TNX for wiring up the rear lights and tapping into it and all but I'm illiterate when it comes to wiring.

There are ways to have both switch and reverse. I'd hit up Chuck from Indiana. He's the wiring genius.

What I did, was run the wiring through the roof rack tubing, drilled a hole under the boot, and continued the wire down the A pillar. Very clean setup.

Double pole single throw relay. It'll allow the input of either the reverse circuit or a switch and the output will turn the lights on.

Finally wired up the reverse lights. I was going to tie them into the reverse and an on-off-on switch but it just got too complicated for me so I just ran it into a switch. The pass side light isn't quite as "white" as the drivers side, it has a little moisture in it.

Before: (stock reverse not on)

Oh yea, I no longer have to roll my windows down to see back there lol. Not sure what I'll be doing next, probably some maintenance when I get the taxes and maybe get the bumper fixed...

So when I get my tax money back, my next add on will be suspension. I'm tired of coil bucket contact (has gotten on my last nerve) and the shocks are all shot. I'll probably go w/ the Bilstien 5100's but lately I've seen several people have shaft issues and they were only months old. I was browsing Nisstec/Xterraperformance and saw the TJM's... Might look into those but not sure. I know most people run Bil's.

To rid of CBC, I've read that I need to get some UCA's. Is there another option to rid of CBC or is there no way around it? I know that there is a band aid aka bump stops to dampen the noise but TBH, its extremely annoying and I'd rather rid the problem completely.

Any particular UCA's? SPC and PRG are a bit expensive... I like the TJM Coilovers w/ bils but not sure what the difference is between the TJM Gold Series and the 5100 Bils

Call up Chris with Nisstec.. Tell him what you looking for and he will build what you need.. Im running a custom pack Bils/Nisstec/P4X
rides great.

The biggest issues with the Bils are people like me and you... I built my first pack and did it with ou a part and it will wear the shafts out and kill the shock early.
Nisstec will send you a pack built and done.. All you would need to do is install.. And coils on the Gen 2 are soooooooooooooooooooo
sooooooooo easy to install. Jack Xterra up.. pull front tire off.. undo the sway bar.. Seems like its a 22mm on the bottom and 10mm on top..
The UCA are easy too.. 2 bolts..

Yea, I was def looking at going thru Nisstec either way. I'm just not sure on the whole UCA situation. I can figure out the Coilovers and shocks. Just gotta figure out which I want. I usually only wheel 1-3 times a year if that so I'm not looking at into getting a hardcore set-up, just something to rid the CBC and a slight upgrade than stock. I'll shoot him an email when I get my tax $$ back. Thanks Dave!

Nisstec is a great place to get all suspension parts and they always help. SPC's are a good adjustable UCA. But, be prepared. You may have to grind back some of your coil bucket to clear the ball joint. This is a hit or miss situation. Some do, some don't. But always plan ahead. :)

^That's what I've read. Some have to grind while others did not. I've read about PRG as well but I've heard they are hit and miss too but with their customer service. I've heard horror stories and success stories lol

I don't know what you're talking about. But for real, Greg is just sometimes hard to get a hold of.

Nisstec will do you right, too. I hate calling for purchases/questions. Blame it on the generation or whatever, but calling Greg really helped me get what I needed out of my TS, and he helped me do it under my budget. Call up Chris at Nisstec or Greg at PRG.

Most of its over on TNX and those folks bashing him. But there are more good than bad. I've heard only good things about Nisstec :)

Yes, call Nisstec. Chris will help you out. They have bailed me out of more things than I can list here.
(initial lift, t-swap, shackle issues, Moab tipovers. . .)

Of course talking w/ my dad about it; he is very adamant that I toss this X. He said its nothing but a money pit and always will be. He told me its time to get a grown up vehicle and not a toy lol. I told him no matter what vehicle I get, it's not going to stay stock long. So I just started kind of browsing thru CL and found an 09 Titan P4X for $16K... Seems like a deal but I'm not quite sure yet what I'll do... Most people know how bad of an X this one has been and there's nothing really positive about this X.

As many problems as you've had with that truck, I wouldn't fault you. There is such a thing as a lemon.

But having a grown up vehicle? Nah.

Yea, I LOL'd when he said that. I did find an 07 H3 with the Adventure package. It has a Locking Rear Diff. Its at a stealership so I'm going to at least entertain the idea... idk though. I'm browsing forums now to see problems

Yea, I'm definitely searching around. If I find something, I'll try and swap with someone for the snorkel and def take off my LED bar off.

Yeah this truck has been a turd for you for sure..

Id look into Frontier.. You can get a crew cab so you sill have the room but yet you get a little more space..
Ive been looking into them again.. I want a white one :)

Cool thing is some of the mods would transfer over ;)

MPGs would be better than Titan for sure... Titans real world is 10-15mpgs..

Yea, you're first on the list Tim if I switch anything out. Not sure if I want to hassle w/ the snorkel or not. But I'll certainly remove the LED's. Decisions Decisions lol

Had some fun today w/ my brother. Any chance I get to get him out of the house, I jump lol. Just some small "wheeling" if you want to even call it that. Just some up and down trails.

He's a baby when it comes to off roading so I have to "coach" him thru a lot of it. He's deathly afraid to break something.

Thanks! Now that it poured rain today, most of the "mud/sand" is off. And on my way to work, I hit a good size patch of water and now the engine sounds like complete sh!t. Not sure what to make of the sound but here's a clip... It shouldn't have anything to do with my recent outing because as you can see from the video, took it pretty slow and steady and it ran completely fine afterwards.

Well, fixed the problem, it was exhaust related. They had to weld something, can't remember what exactly. Also had the front rear drive shaft u-joint replaced and the driver side wheel bearing hub assembly, which was the source of the bad vibrations. Also bought some barely used Bilstein 4600's off a 2015 Pro-4X. Less than 6k miles on them for $160 shipped. Now I'm looking for some UCA's. Most likely go with SPC's due to price but I'm still looking around trying to see my best options.

Yea for now. I entertained the idea but with my credit after my divorce, my interest rate and car note would be ridiculous and I would love not having a car note for a while. If something major mechanically happens then I will but there's not much more I can replace lol *knocks on wood*. Ideally, I would like to get a fuel efficient DD like a VW passat or something. I've got my motorcycle but I've got to get it mechanically up to par to where its safe to drive.
