Glad we got them found!!

If I recall the back side of one of your mounting brackets has a white paint dot. That one is your driver side.

That was done before we got punches to mark them.

Well finally got a spare today (figured might be a good thing to have).
Just a used MT same size.

Threw it up on the roof.

Like it in the pics, not so much standing there looking at it.
For one that thing is heavy, heavy enough that I can see the cross bars slightly bowing. Would want a third in between them I think.
Could put it directly on the roof but would have to remove a cross bar to do it. Not sure I like that idea anyway.
Won't put it back under truck even if it'd fit, don't like it taking up space in the truck

Really want a swing out tire carrier but that's still down the list a ways.
Just damn.

Ok doing this myself today.
Got it dropped out and taken apart to the point of removing pin to drop spider gears out and I notice this......

The spider gear pin has two flats 180deg apart all the length of the pin.

This is normal?

Don't see anything out of the ordinary to me, but I am a sixer or so in tonight

Looking at that first pic, get a 3/16 punch and knock the roll pin to the left. You need a proper sized cylindrical punch that goes deep before it tapers wide

I got that part Rob.
I'm talking about the flats that run the length of the pin the spider gears are on.
Don't remember seeing or hearing anyone talk about that before.

Is this normal or do I have something weird here.

Anybody???

Haven't put them in yet but got the old ones out remarkably easy.
Took a jig saw and cut the rubber to get the centers out the used a hacksaw to cut/split
the sleeves and drove them right out with a punch.

Well ordering thrust washers would take as long as 7 days (with 2 day air) so screw it making my own tomorrow at work.
Meanwhile I figured might as well install rear recovery points.

And they look rockin'.

Two cool things today after work.
Wanted some Lokka stickers for Ivan but they don't make any.
My son-in law went and made me some. :)

And I called Shrock about my skidplates, right about time for them.
Their boxed and shipping tomorrow.
