What is this transmission part??

Noticed some ATF fluid around my transmission oil pan; upon closer inspection looks like a bit of oil is seeping from this white plastic part, it also has a bit of movement (in/out wiggle) to it. I'm guessing this is held in by some sort of o-ring or gasket? What is it?

Any quick fix to it leaking? It's really tight around there, so to get to it I'd have to disconnect the trans shifter cable bracket looks like. Figured I'd ask before I start pulling stuff apart!

My immediate guess would probably be a trans temp or pressure sensor port. The plastic thing is probably a retainer. I’d be willing to bet there’s an o-ring seal in there that has failed.

That makes sense. I'm assuming trying to track down a Nissan OE o-ring oil seal would be next to impossible, probably not something that's even sold individually but rather comes with the entire sensor itself...

Any advice on where to get o-rings? I'm assuming you need specific elastometer/rubber formulation to deal with ATF fluid and the heat - a generic o-ring from the hardware store probably won't suffice...

I believe I have this same issue. Noticed transmission fluid around pan, thought it was the pan gasket, but noticed it was coming from above the pan gasket. It appears to be a slow leak at least, but if you figure out a fix, I'm all ears. Perhaps some RTV?
