Working on a hood for a non Xterra project. Got a smoking deal on it, and its pristine, under some heavy overspray. Trying to remove the over spray without damaging the paint has been tough. It felt like gravel to the touch almost. I had some clay bars around so I started with that, and pulled a bunch off, but there is still a ton still hanging on stubbornly. I dont really trust myself to wet sand with 3000 grit or something but it sure feels like I may have to. Just seeing if anyone has any tips as I head off into the interwebs to do some research. Pic of the fender to give an idea. I may keep claying it. Dunno.
