Went to visit Dad yesterday while my brother and his family were there. Bother's water pump went out while we were there so we all pitched in to change it.

Picked up the wheels I was planning on using on the trailer but I think they're too deep to run without spacers so I might just sell them and buy some trailer wheels instead. Gonna look into that this week after work.

Also grabbed a spare tire carrier from Hazard Fraught. With a 20% coupon I couldn't build one for that price. It'll do till I decide what direction we're going on the whole. I'm beginning to think I could build a trailer frame for about what it's going to take to beef this thing up the way I'd like. Have to see how it goes... But I'd like a swing out tire carrier on the back eventually as well as a swing out rear gate.

What type of jacket does everyone have? I see a lot of the pleated down jackets but they don't seem to be abrasion resistant and I hate to dump $100+ on a jacket and it not stand up. I've got an old LL Bean duck jacket with felt liner I've had for a while now but I'm wondering what other options are out there.

Which of each? I have a Carhartt but it doesn't have the quilted or blanket liner and really lacks in cold weather. It does fine in the fall and spring though.

just got this for fall. Love it so far.

I also have a duluth I wear too. The older style of the link below. I prefer the older style.

Thanks! I like the sherpa lined Carhartt. I think that's closest to what I'm looking for for an over coat. I'll look into that duluth jacket as well.

Thank you for this. I need a "casual" jacket I can wear out with jeans. I like that first link pretty well. All my jackets either have some automotive logo on them or are well worn Carhart work jackets. Im getting that Sherpa too, because damn i like it.

I really like my Eddie Bauer jacket, not sure what model it is, I'll check tonight. They got them for us at work a few years ago.

I also picked up a couple Dixxon flanel shirts for layering this weekend. I'm trying to get me cold weather game on point so I can do more outdoors stuff in the winter and stay warmer. I'm on BP meds and can't seem to get warm again once I'm cold so I need to stay ahead of that game in order to enjoy myself in cooler weather.

I might take some time and go though my clothes this week and try to see what I actually have laying around, what needs to leave because it doesn't fit or I don't like it, and what I can work with before I go buying a bunch of new stuff.

Same. Im currently cleaning out my closet, being honest about what doesnt fit anymore and getting rid of it all. I for some reason feel like ill one day get back to my "skinny" days and need to keep old clothes.

Well, I'm headed the other way. I was 269lb when I graduated high school in 2002. I'm currently 215lb and looking to get back to the 205 (and less) than I was in 2015 when my Mom passed away and I gained 20lb back fast due to the fast food, travel and stress from that mess. I'm trying to get healthier to get off the BP meds and be able to enjoy myself more.

I'll check into that jacket tonight. I'm poor mountain folk so I never put much stock into how nice the Columbia, Eddie Bauer and other high end brands actually are. Now that I have a little more expendable income as an adult, I'm starting to invest in nicer stuff I can own less of because of it's quality and longevity.

Nice! I did the opposite. I was always 6'3 165 ish. As I aged I started working out (and drinking) and gained weight/mass. Im at/near 220 now, and want to be back down around 205-210. I still have slacks and clothes from the sub 200lb days. I wont ever see those again.

Well we just got our first invitation for Thanksgiving dinner today. I want to do something different and stay the ufck home and not have to rush to everyone houses. I am really to the point in life that if people want to see us they can get their happy asses in their cars and drive the 35 - 40 minutes to our house to see us.
