Nice looking truck you've got there! Couple questions...

b374f1bb.jpg

How much light come through those and what'd you use?

What's the thing in your hitch?

A fog light write up would be cool, too :D

thanks guys!
i did the parking light mod, basically swapped the blinkers for my parking lights, so the larger bulb on the bottom is my running lights. they shine through great! i had these scratched so bad that it doesnt even reflect without the tint, which is why i did it, cuz it looked like crap. even with all that sanding failure, i can still see the running lights fine, but the blinkers... not so much. i will be doing projector retrofits soo, and with it, im puting led strips around 3 of the 4 sides of each parking light and running light(where you see black, a perimiter, like an audi) and have switch backs to make them MUCH more visible.
the thingy is a yakima bike rack. as of right now, it serves no purpose, cuz i sold Thanks28 my hitch receiver. im waiting for RLC to build a rear bumper with a hitch in it and a tire carrier, and have it all in one pack.
and i will get on that fog light mod. its really nice, i can have them on with parking, lows, and high beams. (disclaimer:my HID's dont have high beems, but if they did, the fog lights would be on haha)

and its from rustoleum, cleverly named lense tint haha. it comes straight out of the can suuuper shiny, but only if you do one coat and one coat only. you have to do it just right, but you know exactly when that it. once it looks like a mirror, DONT SPRAY MORE. it turns it matte black, like VHT nightshades.

well i think my next mod is going to be 2 inch wheel spacers! woohoo for cheap people. no but i really do like the look of the super charged rims.. i mean i really want new 15's buuuut the rents denied it... they still bought the car so until i pay them for it (which will never happen) i cant get new ones. ill just wait a few years then do it. i guess rome wasn't built in a day either. one day it will be cool lol.

Takes time... Put it to them this way...

17s = High dollar tires..
15s = Sweet prices

I paid under 1k out the door for my Soft 8s and 33 Duratracs..

Your 17s will be 1200-1400 for tires ;)

I waited three and a half years to lift mine. Now that I have.. I love it, but I'm glad I waited. Maturity makes it easier to appreciate the things that you earn, not what is given to you.

But if someone were to GIVE me some 33s, I would be SUPER happy..
Build looks great so far, can't wait to see what you do

^^^Agreed.

I had to earn my own stuff....takes alot of saving to do and often at the end, I'd ask myself the question, "Is it really worth all this money I saved up?" Some mods I've let go for important things in life, and some I did end up buying for...just gotta decide because money doesn't grow on trees these days.....would be nice if it did :D

Not that I havent bought every single mod done to this car ha. My parents surprised me with it on my 16th. I have save up every dime to buy the stuff, I understand where you guys are... I'm there too. I'm parking Sabrina for the year until I get back from college because I don't really need it, and I have to pay for gas, insurance, and everything else involved with it. I just have to get new tires, and they said I can't buy new 15's and 33's. But I think I'll hs replace the tires I have now, for 1100 out the door driving it home( nitto trail 295/70r17) so I think that's pretty good. I'll get new rims in a few years... For now... It's tires because mine are gone... And waaaay to small too haha. oh and nowthat i think of it, 15'swont fit on a calmini sas kit, they have to be at least 16s. plus, noone has the SC rims

And yea those first two years I left it stock. Learned so much about it. Studied every day about the thing between class and all that.. I wanted this thing since 2002 and the round headlights surfaced hahaha. My build thread was super slow on clubxterra(20cc). I did nothing ha. But the day I did the lobo rack is te day I fell in love with it. Its got character you know? Its rebuilt titled. I fixed all te things the auto shop didn't, thanks to these forums:)

those are nice man... i just cant stuff 34.5's under there. thats waaaay to big ha i wouls have to change up gearing, cut fenders like no other, get a new steering system.. that all will add up to waaay to quickly. i have to park it here in chattanooga while i got to college in knoxville so it wont need tires for a solid 6 months

Just chop some things on the X, it will work.

Haha I put those out there as joke mostly. I basically parked the X last year, so I know how you feel. It's not fun to see your baby just sit in a driveway or a parking lot

I actually think you could score a set of 15" rims and 32-33s cheaper than buying a set of descent tires for 17s...... just sayin lol..... and I know you can get 31s and 15s cheaper than 17s and there is no reason at all that a 15" rim wouldnt work on a jeep wagoneer d44 with 3.5 to 4" backspace.

yeah midget i think your right, but i honestly like the look of the 17's now that i sit back and look. nobody has these sc rims ha and when i get the rims i want they will look huge, but still be small enough to me functional. i like to have partial flash, call me a poser, i know. i just really like a clean setup, and i feel like for my rig, dropping to 15's will completely change the look of it, which i have really grown fond of :)

This should be interesting..

How do you plan on supporting them? because those 6 screws and some plastic might not hold more than a child..

steps. and the guy im buying them from is sending me the brackets taht bolt to the body of the car itself. same way they mount to the 2nd gen. he made a tube rear umper apperently, so he doesn't need the brackets or the steps. if it works, heck yeah! if it doesn't, it was only 50$ i guess. but im 99% sure it will work. if nothing else, ill take it to UTK's auto shop and fab some supports there to make it work haha. i will do this ha and yes, ill make a write up if you all are interested. :)
