Getting ready for a full network and server upgrade.

Moving to a dual xeon build. Virtualizing my truenas box, and upgrading server connections to 10gb.

Almost ready to start swapping the guts of the current server.

Much excite.

I plugged one in to my desktop the other day, to use to temporarily copy things off, and it only read as a 1.7 TB drive....Could be the external dock though. I'll know more once I get it into the server.

I'll take them, but might have to buy them in stages. How many more do you have?

I have 4 x 8TB SATA drives (7200 RPM) born in 2016 that I'll sell for $50 ea (obo) + actual shipping. I bought them for a project and wound up going w/SAS instead. They tested fine. Let me know if you are interested.

Oh, this is SUPER tempting.

I need more info though.

Were they new drives, how many power on hours do they have?

Make/model?

I have no idea of the power on hours. I tested them with Sea Tools and all tested good. Let me attach a photo of the drive label. . .HDD.jpg

Xterra is insured and back on the road for the fist time in 3 years. Much happy. Taking it camping this weekend. Will need to do shocks next week. Have some take off from a friends build, just need to pick up new bushings for them.
Pretty sure mine is ufcking cursed, literally get it back from lift/locker and it blows the high pressure power steering line

I might be a bigger vert fan if it wasn’t for the weight, and it’s hot as balls here so I like my climate control, verts leak that precious cold air

well this is good information to know
I bought the ex one before we had kids. The window seals leaked like a muh ufcka. Paid $600 to have a whole new top put on, then it started leaking at the back into where the top mechanism lived. Trunk was moldy. Was glad to get rid of that.
