We talked about this a page ago. Should start replicating their stuff as they can't sue if they're out of business.
I say do it. Nissan support is already low. We can't afford to lose yet another vendor. Even one with shiatty customer service.

If anyone does this, please make the radiator skid not a huge PITA to install / remove!

I was talking to Dave (Maxterra) a while back, maybe a year and a half ago, and he mentioned he'd thought about expanding into making skid plates. I know he's not really active on here, but Rob @IM1RU do you know what Dave's up to lately?

I can’t remember the name of it, but wasn’t there another vendor that was making skids, stopped, then another company picked up the design? I want to say Shrockworks was the company that picked it up but I may be misremembering.

I took my Shrock radiator skid off for the last time last night finally. Even without the sway bar still a pain.

Hope all are well and had good holidays. I'm through the holidays and such and time to get back to the X. So expect stupid questions incoming ;)

All the guys that have been around for a while keep asking about “Mike” in regards to Shrockworks. Who is that? The business Shrockworks LLC is registered to a Jim B Shrake and he used his home address to register the business. Street view of that house shows trucks with Shrock bumpers too. If you Google the address one of those people data sites even pops up with Jim’s cell phone number.

Somebody claimed the LLC filed dissolution paperwork in 2018 but I didn’t dig that far to confirm it. I did see Shrockworks LLC took an $85k+ PPP loan in 2020 that was forgiven in 2021. They claimed to have 10 employees. Zoominfo only shows a few employees, which jives with what I’ve read also. They also cleared out their social media. Definitely something weird going on.

What's wrong with the rad skid? Mine is bent AF but still bolts up and down with no issues. Is it a problem with the stock bumper?

I have the version shown in this thread, with a stock bumper and front sway bar. It sucks to remove the skid.

Wow. That terrible. The version I have the bolts that go behind the Sway bar mounts are on a completely different bracket. That just stays there perminently. Six bolts and the whole thing drops easy.

Whatchu do?
Neglect. Pain started Friday, barely slept Sunday or Monday night. Got into a new dentist Tuesday and gave me antibiotics for the infections. Plural. New root canal this morning, have another scheduled in a couple weeks to see why the 12 year old one above it has an abscess.
