The only place I hear about vehicles in this category is on forums and groups for vehicles that have been extinct for 10+ years. People who buy new vehicles and therefore drive new vehicle sales, are buying Wrangers, Broncos, 4Runners or the plethora of crossovers that are offered.
There's not enough market share in this country for them to do well. So we have crossovers and literally 1 frame on, hard top SUV that probably WOULDN'T sell if it wasn't a Toyota.
Other countries where the market isn't as flooded and people need more rugged transportation? Yeah sure. But not here.

The problem is selling the Everest along side the explorer, average customer gonna test drive em both and go wow explorer rides much better
