Birth of Blumhouse/Twisted Pictures if I'm not mistaken. One of the few outfits that produced most of the horror / thriller movies from that time onward.

Watched "Better Luck Tomorrow"
First Justin Lin feature length film. Introduced the character of Han (F&F, as always portrayed by Sung Kang). Justin Lin has directed and/or produced 6 of the 10 movies in the F&F franchise. His first, chronologically, was Tokyo Drift. Which of course also features Han. Same actor, arguably the same character.
Was interesting. California HS drama. It got real dark. Pretty apropos of the late 90s HS suburban world. (ask me how I know).
Was interesting to see the directorial style from a long time ago to where he is now. And also the lateral lines of the Han character that clearly carry over into the later movies.
I could definitely see it as a prequel for the Han character rolling into the F&F world. Good fit.
I sleep now. Going to Pikes Peak in the morning.
