80s and up X-men books don't sell for much. There's a few exceptions. I sent in a 1st Gambit which should be north of $500. But it came back with a shiatty grade. I'm going to send it to a 3rd party presser and resubmit. I can't see the faults they're talking about that earned a 7.0.

Also got the Stan Lee signed ASM v2 #1. CBCS gold label verified signature. But again. A 7.0. So I'm not sure what to do with it. It's badass to have something that is verified to be signed by The Man. And it's not worth much because of the grade. So I may just keep it.

I'm fearful. I've literally been collecting baseball cards since before I was born. I've got a bunch of graded cards but also a shiatload, like thousands, of cards I've debated getting graded. You know, to get mo monah. But with the cost of grading and the chances of lowballing, I'm afraid. So they continue to sit.

PSA does $25/ea for regular grading. So if you've got stuff worth doing, it might be worth the coin. But if you've got a lot, $150/yr and then $15/ea for grading. I sent in 35 cards last week at the discounted rate. If I can get some 9s and 10s out of it, I'll be in the black.
