I wonder what their profit margin is, ya know, since we're throwing manufactering corporations under the bus for record profits achieved in part by exporting jobs to the lowest bidder

*buys insurance policy thru work*
*several months of paying for high dollar diabetes meds thinking all is well*
*insurance no longer wants to cover said meds*
Oh it's a racket for sure. As someone with the beetus I know it. But that's why I pay for the top tier insurance plan. Really low deductible and they pay for just about everything.

boss man bought his kid a brand new trd pro tacoma

kid works in the shop and is an ok body man but is the type of guy that only puts in the bare minimum

boss man is also on zillow looking at homes for said kid

I don't have an objection to boss man and his co founding brother taking home large checks, they put in work, took tremendous risks with loans, they oughta be able to enjoy it a little

but by denying the kid the struggle, and covering everything he needs without him actually having to put his balls on the chopping block, they are kinda ensuring it won't be a multi generational company

If I wanna make that type of money, first step is to take the risk

I say that being the son of a relatively successful business owner that should/will inherit what daddy built someday

I just may move back someday and run it, I might be a good fit having known what its like to be zero'd, zero in the bank, zero credit score, one step out of homeless, I kinda didn't have a choice when I got to where I am now, running tons of hours

other things/interests prevent me from doing that

Don't get me wrong. My parents have helped me in the past. But I've never been financially coddled.
dad bought a few motorcycles, my first nice vehicles were ones I bought, not working for the family business, mustang and an f150 that promptly got traded in for a used diesel are the only "brand new" vehicles I've ever had

didn't take money from mom and dad when I moved

never borrowed money from them even when I really needed it

my dad and I see eye to eye a lot better now having both known what its like to truly have nothing

That's the goal though right? Be able to help your kids when they need you to?

My Mom and Dad helped us a good bit. Made car payments when we were rolling pennies to buy enough gas, ramen and diapers to make it one more week till payday.

I hope I'm physically, mentally and financially able to help my kids out when they need me.

Insurance should not be tied to employment.

Universal Healthcare, because no one should end up bankrupt or homeless because of a medical bill.... and the Homeless deserve to be treated as well.

I wonder what their profit margin is, ya know, since we're throwing manufactering corporations under the bus for record profits achieved in part by exporting jobs to the lowest bidder

The original insurance laws were written so that the insurance companies were essentially guaranteed a 70% profit.
