I'm going to push as much business as possible to Steve @ Rugged Rocks for the new build. We need to keep these small companies afloat.
he has your slider solution, theres different sides to weld/bolt on, but I'm firmly on the side that bolt on is better just for the sake of the frame

me either, when I called and ordered they were on it, not really sure what happened where so many people got screwed
If I recall, they did a group buy thing, got way more orders than they could actually realistically handle, and instead of taking the high road and either telling people the order would take a couple years to fill or offering refunds, either ghosted the customers or kept lying about shipping or powder coating being the delay.

the death of shrock was a big blow to those of us that can't afford a 6th gen bronco or brand new jeep
This is one thing that kinda bothers me about parting out the X. I'll likely never be able to build another the same way. I love my Shrockworks front bumper and there's no telling how much longer Dave will make rear bumpers.

But I can't afford two offroaders.

There's shiat I need to do, just don't want to do any of it. Came in around 10, lunch at 11:30 (90 min lunch), puttered around reddit. Thinking of going to the blocked off area for a nap. Be easier if our IT guy wasn't right at that door.

@Prime I know Roxterra is now making skids for the 1st gen. They're outside my price range though, and honestly, I don't need them too often.

Coastal makes front and rear bumpers, but if you're looking for a simple rear bumper that you can modify, check out hardcore offroad PA. That's where my rear bumper came from, and the DIY kit was $300 I think?

Shiiiiiiiiiit thats way too hot. our folks have no concept of levels. one day two is hot the next day its meh. I could likely stand a three but no more.
Dad would do 15* panang. Their menu only goes to 4...

They couldn't always hit it, definitely depended on who was in the kitchen. If we saw Ood poke his head out, it was going to be goooood.

It looks like the Shadow Wolf SAS kit comes with all the skids but the gas tank. I've been looking a lot at both of those bumper options.

I've heard the coastal is designed for beginner welders. Which is good, because I have a welder I've not used yet...

the coastal rear is simple, the front is a bit complicated, I had a veteran welder do mine and it took him a good bit to get it just right, but he's also a perfectionist, which is why I asked him to do it

why not just let the daughter drive it as is? maybe she'll catch the bug and go wheeling with you!

of course if you really need the funds, I can understand
