Steering issues, hard to turn

Well first off my X is tough to turn. It should be a lot easier to turn and it almost feels like there is a lot of pressure on the steering shaft. Also my X will shake when I start getting on the interstate and the dealer said it was mud but that is BULL**** and i cant be the only one having this problem.

Have you had the steering recall done?


Also check your Power Steering fluid, as ours are prone to leaking. Reservoir can be found just behind the battery on the passenger side.

I read about the recall and actually I am taking her in Monday! Hopefully it will be a permanent fix. And I just refilled my power steering fluid

Both of those combined should help. Actually, if anything, the recall work will make it more "responsive," if you will, and the PS fluid is self explanatory. It's VERY common for our PS Reservoirs to leak, especially around the the hose fittings.
