if you find someplace to get the silver grille trim piece cheap, let me know....water crossings have taken TWO of those from me, I'm not spending nissan prices for whole grille assemblies anymore ;)

nice rig ;)

I can't find just the silver piece, just the whole assembly and I refuse to buy the whole thing just to get that. Even salvage yards won't separate. I think i'm just going bedline the grill and be done with it. Once I get new bumper and lights up there it won't be as noticeable anyway.

Here is the video that the water picture came from. A few of us went on a run and it ended up being Tropical Storm Debby. There were a few spots a little deeper. And at one point we drove a trail for about a mile with water that went to the top of my 33's. Our Xterras came through like a champ. There are many videos of Richloam to give you an idea of the area. Once rainy season comes it's a lot of water.

I would say that a snorkel would be an appropriate modification for your X down there..

Do you have any water seepage when you drive on trails like that? Or is it just up and down all the time so you don't have water come through and into the X?

I didn't have any seepage in the doors, but I did get a little water go in the a/c intake in the cowl when the water came over the hood when I went in a little too fast. No I'll effects though I just had to replace the cabin filter. The other Xterra had a tiny bit come in through one of the rear doors. Just enough to get the carpet damp by the door. I make sure that I keep the seals very clean and check them all the time.

Now that looks like a fun trail! Most our trails are clay, so when they get wet it is a sticky, slippery nasty mess (which i tend to avoid).
