Going to redo some things on my cooling system and the radiator is one. Is there a 2 row radiator available? i have searched and cannot find anything. I know the s/c is an improvement but still just a single row.. Thanks
The S/C is a 2 core. I have one and its twice as thick as my old one.
After talking to you the other day on the trail I was looking for something similar in size to the factory radiator. Might look into the R34 rad from mishimoto. The size seems REALLY close and the ports are in the right locations, but Im not entirely sure if they're the right size or if it will even fit properly
R34 radiator ordered.. Dimensions check out to be pretty close.. The R34 is about 1" taller and 1/2" skinnier.. I will keep everyone posted.. I've always wanted a R34.. I guess a radiator will have to do lol
ebay has a ton, just search for R34 radiator from $100 to $500
If your willing to spend the money Griffin Radiators will build you whatever you want. They made my S14 Chassis Radiator to work with my VH45DE engine so it dropped right in, used OEM hoses and the fan setup I wanted.
Well i got the radiator, and with some modification it could work, but it doesn't have the trans cooler built in.. Which o was aware of.
If someone were to want to fab new mounts it would fit.. I drained my radiator and look and it turns out I had a 2 row TYC

So I cleaned it well, added new coolant and went back to a mechanical fan.. It now runs at 188 on a 85 degree day.. It would run at 195 with the Efan.. So the Efan isn't worth it at all.. I didn't even notice a power difference when going back
I just bought this radiator yesterday from Car Id. They are an authorized Koyo Dealer also so you are getting a good product. I also thought about going for a custom radiator and getting something with 3 rows but I couldnt find any that would not require modifying the radiator supports. I will be running the Derale dual E-Fan also. Hopefully it will run cooler on the trails. Here is a link http://www.carid.com/2002-nissan-xterra-engine-cooling-parts/koyorad-radiator-11053898.html
The SC rad is all you ever need.
The SC rad is all you ever need.
If I remember correctly im 99% sure it doesDoes the same fan shroud work with the SC radiator as the non-SC radiator? Looking to upgrade but want to keep the fan shroud.
Absolutely.Does the same fan shroud work with the SC radiator as the non-SC radiator? Looking to upgrade but want to keep the fan shroud.
Never lowered my rad after the BL. Haven't had any postponement even in the dead of summer on some long trails.
theres no tranny cooler in it i see.
You can add an auxiliary external cooler pretty cheap and easy.
i know that, what im saying is my rig is running on stock and added external cooler and the tranny still gets hot. his gna have to add a big ass external cooler to compensate for the lack of a stock one.
