Real NISMO?

So its that time again, that time when the date meets the sticker in the windshield. Now with a missing rusted off muffler, and an evap canister problem, its time to start my attack on these issues.

First up is going to be the exhaust. Been doing a lot of searching on other forums for answers but no anvil. I know some people are selling NISMO branded products that are real nice nock offs, and want to know what you all think of this one.

With that said, would this be a good option, seeing as though i also will be needeing a y pipe as well? I could have a shop fab up a new stainless exhaust and y pipe as well i guess.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if you are dead set on getting a NISMO, but I have a Flowmaster super 40 and love the way it sounds. I only bought the muffler though so I can't say about the rest of it.

I am very picky about ebay sellers that I do business with, but the sellers reputation is very good. Though I cannot comment on the quality or if it is in fact a real Nismo exhaust, I can tell you that a seller with that kind of feedback will not allow it to be tarnished over someone who is slightly unsatisfied. In my experience, when you buy from a very high rated seller and you are not completely satisfied, just send them a message. 90% of the time they will immediately offer a partial refund. It says in the posting that satisfaction is guaranteed. I bought a loaded sub box with 2 12"s that were labeled 1500watts but I did not find out till I saw on the box they sent me that it was 1500 MAX instead of RMS, and since it was not specified anywhere accept on the box they sent me they offered $30 off the total of about $160. I said that it would do me no good because I am going to be pushing 1500 RMS into them and it will just blow them. Their rebuttal was they will issue a partial refund of $70, that means I would only have paid $90. They had a 99.6% rating and the new ebay rules make it very hard for an ebay seller to rip someone off at all and keep a decent rating.

Hmmm might be the way to go. Not dead set on it, but if i can get a full bolt on for maybe 100$ more than custom, whith a new Y, might be the way to go.

They are real, that is where I got mine from. The story from way back is they bought out a warehouse full of water damaged boxes of these exhausts, when I got mine, they included part of the original packaging with the nismo logo that was water damaged. You use to be able to make an offer on them, I got mine for $240 a couple years ago from that seller by making an offer.

Like I said on CX, i've bought enough Nismo parts straight from the dealer for my 240sx to know how the real stuff looks, Nismo instructions are always the same format, always include OEM nissan hardware/gaskets. Most of the knock-off nismo stuff is cheap little things and you can usually tell by the logo, its almost always styled differently.

If you need a y-pipe, I'd definitely recommend it.
