I believe they is a crush washer on it, but I've never swapped it.
As for the procedure: warm the tranny slightly (makes oil flow better) then drain into a measurable container. Close the drain and put that much new fluid back in. Drive for a few days and repeat.
Be prepared with the full capacity, but I would only expect 5 qts to come out. Our trannies call for Matic D, but there are several aftermarket fluids that list compatibility with it. If Matic D is not on the bottle, don't use it.
