Hey Guys, So i have the head unit stated in the title, and it was working great and on my way home it flashed and quit working, came back on back to what it was playing on the screen but no sound. Then I got home turned off the truck and back on and i got staticy screen then black and white bars then nothing, no splash screen or anything. The buttons light up and its getting power I managed to get the dvd that was in it out. but no sound no nothing. I have disconnected everything, even pulled the fuse, then reconnected still not getting any where.
I even tried looking on the web and found 1 similar case and the "techs" answer was its probably the ribbon cable, well there is no exposed ribbon cable on this unit, so maybe its something inside the unit idk. I had to pay $3 for that answer that helped me in no way at all.
Anyone have any idea?
I have had it for about 2 maybe 3 years now, Im going to give pioneer a call on monday and see what they have to say. Right now its an expensive paper weight in my dash.
